We are Frankfurt… and we are „ STILL HERE “!

The 1995 launched Techno and House label founded by Toni Rios, Chris Liebing, Andre Walter and Tommy Bingel operated until 1999 before all four went their own ways.
In 2006 Toni Rios and Andre Walter reanimated the legendary label and amongst own releases they also opened their doors for aspiring artrist from the former Techno capital.
 
26 years after launching SOAP Records, Frankfurt is no longer home to a bunch of the most iconic clubs in Europe like it once was but the underground never slept. 
Under the polished facade of the financial metropolis there has always survived a vivid scene maintaining the old spirit.
 
In 2021 after a long pandemical dry spell Toni Rios decided to use his influence in order to unite forces and to bring Frankfurt back on track.
The compilation called " STILL HERE " showcases local artists such as Toni Rios & Ben Shine, Sascha Dive, Drag & Drop, Daniele Casa, Who Cares, Roomservice, TOSZ, Reiner Liwenc, November Reign, techMOUSE & Charles Silence, Le Jardin and proves that the central German city still offers international quality when it comes to electronic music.

Toni Rios now also offers in 2021 – the digital age makes it possible – a platform to the current atist and newly producers from Frankfurt. 
Just as 25 years ago when Toni Rios received small gigs arranged by other DJs, Toni now takes care himself of the new generation. The circle is therefore closed, with a new compilation on his own label Soap Records, followed by an extended collection of new associated EP´s. Let yourself be surprised.

Zusammen, als Community, werden wir aus dieser noch nie dagewesene Krise zusammen stärker heraus kommen, als je zuvor.

Toni Rios launched in 1989 at the age of 18. In the mid nineties he got his final touch at the still legendary club Omen in Frankfurt on the Main, continuing his acting career as international DJ. Toni Rios became subsequently a solid constituent of the Cocoon Booking Agency and Cocoon Events. Later in 2004 he additionally started a residency with the associated Cocoon Club in Frankfurt. From Acidhouse, Trance and hard-loop focussing Techno of the nineties, and up to modern Techhouse Sound which he allows currently to flow into his sets, Toni Rios and his sound places himself presently up-to-date, hot Spanish temper included.

From Miami over to Sao Paulo and up to Bangkok and Tokyo, just to name a few cosmopolitan cities, Toni Rios travels regularly all over the globe and performs weekly at the hottest European clubs. Furthermore, Toni Rios performed at big events such as the Love Parade (Berlin), Mayday (Dortmund), I Love Techno (Belgium) or Dance Valley (Amsterdam), where he won the heart of thousands of inspired people. In concurrence, Toni Rios operates also since the mid nineties as a successful producer and runs his own record and digital label with Soap Records. 15 years ago this was stepping stone to Toni Rios and his friends to start their career as producers.

Toni Rios now also offers in 2009 – the digital age makes it possible – a platform to the newly producers from New York, Tel Aviv and Ukraine. Just as 20 years ago when Toni Rios received small gigs arranged by other DJs, Toni now takes care himself of the new generation. The circle is therefore closed, with a 20-year DJ anniversary followed by an extended world tour including an associated EP-release in October.

Artiste bisontin, Tosam débute sa passion pour le live tekno en 2019 en s’inspirant alors des musiques old School des sound system tels que Spiral Tribe, Metek, Okupe, cirkus alien  ou Kernel Panik. Aujourd’hui, son envie de remettre au goût du jour la tekno old school est plus forte que jamais.

C’est grâce à cet état d’esprit qu’il n’hésite pas à utiliser un son répétitif et lancinant qui répond aux codes de la « vieille école » tout en y ajoutant sa touche personnelle ; le tout révélant une musique combinée d’ancien et de moderne.

Das DJ- und Produzenten-Duo VREIGEIST (aus Saarbrücken x Mannheim, DE) hat sich schnell als eine aufstrebende Kraft in der elektronischen Musikszene etabliert. Ihre Reise begann im Alter von 17 Jahren, als sie ihre Leidenschaft für elektronische Klänge entdeckten. Nachdem sie 2023 ihr Club-Debüt im Mauerpfeiffer in Saarbrücken feierten, (Straightforward Techno & Rhein Audio, ZEUZ) war klar, dass dies der Start ihrer gemeinsamen Karriere war.
Seitdem haben sie nicht nur auf bekannten Events & Festivals wie Ruhr in Love, Nature One (Camping Village), Full Moon Open-Air (Defense of Techno) & Techno Culture (Infarkt Techno) gespielt, sondern auch ihre Vision einer einzigartigen Underground-Atmosphäre weiterentwickelt.

Founded in 2012, this powerhouse duo effortlessly merges their diverse music backgrounds, resulting in a symphony of house music hues interwoven into their productions and sets. This fusion gives rise to an unparalleled and distinctive sonic experience.

Having graced the stages of renowned international clubs like Cocoon Club, Sankeys Ibiza, Flex, and Sisyphos, as well as electrifying audiences at globally celebrated festivals, DRAG & DROP stand as true sonic navigators. Notably, they hold an esteemed residency at the legendary Tanzhaus West in Frankfurt.

Beyond their sensational performances, their production prowess shines. Labels including Avotre, Deeperfect, likeminded, TBX, and Moan have eagerly embraced their tracks, consistently securing placements in the Beatport top 100. Soap Records was launched in 1995 by the four friends Toni Rios, André Walter, Thomas Bingel & Chris Liebing, as the gentlemen could not find at that time an adequate label for their unpublished tracks. Up to approximately 1999 they published 12 maxis, amongst classical and US inspired house and gray zone, operated between house and techno. In today’s time this would surely be categorized as techno-house.

The project Soap Records rests after that, as all four went on their separate ways. Up to approximately 1999 they published 12 maxis. Soap was a part of UCMG Germany. After many years of successfully working on other projects, in 2006 Tony Rios & Andre Walter find together their way back to the studio.

This year the circle closes in. Tony Rios & Andre Walter have a finished longplayer ready, but similar to 13 years ago, no suitable label for their material. After nearly 10 years of sleeping beauty time, Soap Records is being re-animated by Toni Rios & André Walter in 2008. This time without Thomas Bingel and Chris Liebing, who are involved in other projects and naturally no longer participating.

Soap Records got new dedicated friends involved to the scenery, the music continues also on a digital label, to bring forward the thoughts and to take care of the heritage...

With new Artists and a new "Setup", Soap Records tries to enjoy their own artists and music lovers around the globe. The new concept, including the "Label-Showcases" with new Artists, reaches new banks and will hit in high waves.

Be prepared for essential electronic music, brought to you from the middle of Germany! Legends may sleep, but they will never die...
