SOAP is a rapper/producer duo consisting of Toronto poet/rapper Scribe and Hamilton based producer Onglish. After Onglish produced several beats on Scribes debut project in 2015, the two agreed on working closely to create a culture of risk and trust, pushing each other to expand their abilities. 

Drawing inspiration from Timbaland, Kaytranada, Anderson .Paak and others, SOAP has a unique sound that plays inside the box in unorthodox ways. By aiming at something more emotional than flawless, Scribe & Onglish Aren’t Perfect (SOAP).

Malik is an Eritrean-Canadian hip hop emcee from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. His writing explores themes of resilience, motivation, vulnerability, self identity, discovery, and reflection. As the lead vocalist and primary lyricist of Toronto hip hop band Mayraki, Malik has performed extensively throughout the Toronto music scene since Fall 2012. Additionally, he has collaborated and performed with a number of Toronto artists and collectives including The Dirty B-Sides, DJ/producer duo Bitter&Broke, and charity outfit The Middle School Dance Band. Malik is currently working on his debut EP, Malik’s Room Volume 1.
