The sound of Soap has arrived.  Taking their unique brand of rock to new heights with confidence, What's In The Box? represents all sides of the Minneapolis quartet.  From Erich Krapf’s soaring guitar work on the opening number, “What the Truth Is”, to Ross Taylor’s dark, bass-driven “One Token”, to Skyler Krapf’s rumbling piano passage in “Traffic” and Austin Lee’s lead vocals on the tongue and cheek number, “That Guy” - the album is a fluid piece of work that will put a smile on your face and your arms in the air, strike an emotional chord within you and above all else, make ya shake yo moneymaker.

Sending the Soap sound into new territory, giving select songs studio variations, is the addition of a number of Minneapolis’ finest musicians: Jill Mikelson (vocals), Bettina Villamil (violin), Matt Probst (cello), Joseph McCauley (alto saxophone), Aaron Wiener (trumpet) & Adam Kraus (trombone).

Please enjoy this Keller & The Keels version of the Mother Hips song 'Stunt Double'.  "Later Days" by the Mother Hips is in my top 5 of desert island records. In my humble opinion, they don't play as much as they should.

Like the band name, Soap’s music is undoubtedly fresh. With influences ranging from jazz, blues and funk to progressive, psychedelic and electronic, Soap skillfully fuses all of these genres into one – dance infused rock. Imagine going to a double matinee showing of Led Zeppelin & P-Funk at Dream Theatre and then heading to an Amsterdam discotheque to dance until the sun came up. That's about as close as can be described without seeing Soap for yourself.
