A long time coming for the DJ and producer who has released records on Love & Other, Realm, Nervous Records, Strictly Rhythm and Crosstown Rebels. As well as garnering support from Pete Tong, Danny Howard, Gorgon City, Steve Lawler, Joseph Capriati, John Digweed & Sasha to name a few, it's no wonder why Martin Badder is quickly becoming one of the most prolific and exciting artists out there in 2021.

'Dancing By Myself' is no exception to this, the latest release from Martin Badder whose signature big room club sound hits differently. A track that exudes a classy energy with its thumping House groove and funky bass line driving the record from start to finish.

This week on Toolroom Trax, Jay Vegas is in the house bringing that funky west coast vibe on his latest release ‘High’. His debut on the imprint label is one you’ll be getting down to in no time, it’s an upbeat funk driven House number that is nothing short of brilliant. Jay has previously released on Toolroom’s Miami 2020 Compilation with his pure vibe record ‘Move That Body’, now he is back on Trax with some of that old school flavour.

On top of this, ‘High’ features the powerful voice of Ron Carroll, a Chicago House music legend who has worked with some of the biggest names in the scene such as Axwell, Bob Sinclair, Huxley and Roger Sanchez. Jay Vegas has gone all out on this one. A House Record with a ton of attitude and a sound to match, ‘High’ is a classy peak time club tune full of energy. Summer is well and truly underway as we roll into August, and landing back on Toolroom for our next release is Sydney native Alex Preston who returns with his chunky groover ‘It’s Not Over’.

Back on the firm the DJ, producer, guitar enthusiast and label owner of his Basement Sound imprint, Alex Preston has built a solid reputation on the dance floor, with his signature blend of feel-good Disco, House, and Funk styles. 

Having scored success with his 2021 summertime hit single ‘Love You Better’ which has recently hit 5 million streams alone on Spotify, Alex Preston cemented his status as a prolific and solid songwriter. ‘It’s Not Over’ itself is a chunky Disco focused groove, cut with choppy Rhodes keys, slick guitar licks and that seminal First Choice acappella to add that classic house feel.
