Taking its inspiration from The Roots/Cody Chestnutt track from 2003, ‘The Seed’ sees Lulleaux initially entering synth-house territory with a sharp pose on broad shoulders, then making the hook tantalise his next move. It’s the slingy guitar action though that takes centre stage, retuning the original’s six string lick into a jump up vibe that blossoms with every play. “It’s gonna work because I’m pushing it right” go the lyrics – never a truer word spoken, and ones destined to be repeated back by up-for-it crowds.

With this record the title actually says it all; making it was pure fun! Couldn’t be happier to have two-time grammy winner Ann Nesby feature on the vocals. Her voice is so full of energy and strength, and the lyrics are really positive and inspiring. I think the tune overall is a celebration of positivity and love in any form. You can dedicate the lyrics to whomever or whatever gives you joy! In terms of ingredients this track is very rich; from piano, bass, strings, organs, percussion and vocals to the ultimate Bakermat weapon: saxophone! Combined they make for an effective dance floor killer that radiates positivity and simply does what I always try to do with my music: it makes people happy!
