With incoming shows at Defected’s new Pacha Ibiza residency, Mochakk’s Calling Festival and Dom Dolla’s residency at Hï Ibiza set for summer 2025, Dennis Ferrer continues to prove himself as one of the world’s premiere selectors. His status as a house innovator has been cemented through new ventures, including the launch of thriftshoppe with partner Olena Ferrer, and this highly anticipated label debut from an NYC legend heralds Classic’s 30th anniversary. Starting as a collaboration between Girls of the Internet’s Tom Kerridge and UK soul sensation Sophie Faith, ‘Affirmations’ was released in summer of 2023 prior to the collective’s full-length LP When I Was Lost, I Found Myself. Dennis Ferrer completely transforms ‘Affirmations’, taking Tom Kerridge’s emotive production and giving it undeniable synth bounce mixed with NYC grit, with Anelisa Lamola’s tender yet powerful vocals stretched and pulled to create rhythmic intricacies.
