Sleep Start

With their second widely analogue based effort the former two-piece audiovisual project Sky To Speak delve deep into their meditative momentum leaving behind three perfectly layered compositions. Using dub dynamics, the spaciness of psychedelic ambient and onward through techno rituals 'Ruin' EP, their Exitab debut, offers something which could have only be conceived with full focus, yet in parts depths of the subconscious have shaped the final outcome.

Although three of six tracks are remixes using the 'r' word could be a bit tricky here. From a bearable lightness of the hypnotic Tachycardia Theatre's recontextualisation, through to Casi Cada Minuto's trademark zero gravity sound trip, this carefully curated collection feels more like coherent album than remix release. Adding Troniq's hazy mindwarp with clock-like percussions ticking under intense melodic backdrop the EP ends precisely where the first track begins. It offers itself to be looped forever or at least until the tape disintegrates.

Sundays on Clarendon Road is a Prague-based band of two young people who admire the suburbs and the hidden landscapes around it, the disasterous fall / winter evenings in the city, the light in August. They are trying to express their admiration by playing the guitar, singing and lately also by using electronic instruments. 


BIO

Sundays on Clarendon Road je elektroakustické duo Jana Tůmy (kytara, laptop) a Jonáše Zbořila (vokály, laptop). Od listopadu 2008 se kluci scházejí v Praze na Barrandově, kde kombinují akustickou kytaru s elektronickými samply v poměru závisejícím na jejich náladě. I když je jim většinu času dobře, jejich repertoár z velké většiny tvoří melancholické songy podložené elektronickými beaty a pazvuky, ale rádi o sobě tvrdí, že umí složit i pecku, na kterou se dá tancovat. 

Za svou přerušovanou existenci (cestovali po světě a skládali přes e-maily) nestačili nahrát žádné CD, ale odehráli něco přes třicet koncertů na akcích (Bohemian Like You, Zatuchlost – Roxy Nod, FreshFlesh, FreezeFest, Jsme v Kontaktu, Zlatý voči, Maelstrom fest, festivaly UK), s projekty DD/MM/YYYY (Kan.), Please the Trees, Quite Quiet, dné, mon insomnie a další. Mají za sebou videoklip Comprehension Check a hudbu ke krátkému hranému filmu. V dubnu 2012 vydali debutové EP Walking into Limbo (produkce Arnaud Mathieu / Shomusic.com
