Many years ago, I introduced a new format that alongside our regular episodes called “Lessons for Hannah.”  Hannah is my daughter and one of the main inspirations for the Misfit Entrepreneur.  I wanted to have a place where she could go and learn from her daddy and his Misfit friends throughout her life….even after I am gone.  If you haven’t listened to the first episode of "Lessons for Hannah,"  I urge you to as it gives some more background and tells the amazing story of how Hannah came to be in our lives.

Lessons for Hannah are short, very useful, and sometimes comical lessons, that I want to share with you and give to Hannah to help in your lives.  Because I want Hannah to have these for her life, I’m going to speak as though I am talking directly to her. JBando is a rap artist and performer who always loves to set the bar higher. His releases have a special feel and a truly unique approach to the genre. Whatever he set out to accomplish, you can pretty much rest assured that JBando knows how to do something different from all the other rappers out there. This is exactly why releases such as See You There are miles ahead from other artists in this genre!
On See You There, JBando manage to create such a thick texture of tones and ideas, and the melodies are absolutely spot on. This song is a masterful example of what happens when there are so many elements working together in perfect synergy. The production is spotless and inspiring, while JBando’s lyrics is always on point. He has the remarkable ability to create melodic twists into his music, while also retaining the timeless energy that you would expect from the very best hip-hop. JBando isn’t kidding around here. His lyrics are truly unapologetic, and the attitude that drives his releases is absolutely impeccable. See You There definitely belongs to this category as well, and there couldn’t be a better way to show the world what the artist is all about.
In terms of production, See You There hits the nail on the head. The sound is clear and pristine, and it lear gives the audience a powerful glimpse on what to expect from this amazing performer.
If you are a fan of great music, and better yet, a connoisseur of amazing hip-hop, give See You There a fair shot. You are definitely going to connect with JBando’s seamless style, as well as with his amazing take on the genre, which is always fun and engaging. Like many other amazing JBando tracks, this is actually a production by JBeats, who helped the artist make the most out of his amazing lyrical delivery and ideas. When listening to JBando’s tracks, I am always amazed at how much care and attention goes into crafting the perfect mix. JBando is a true master, with a really amazing feel on his music, as well as giving the listeners a special take on hip-hop and R&b. His vocals are particularly excellent on this track. The performance is very direct, yet detailed and intricate. Each word is intelligible and clear, and there is something special about his delivery. Fans of modern rap icons such as Mac Miller and Post Malone are most definitely going to enjoy this killer release, while fans of old-school geniuses like Jay Z, Eminem, and Kanye West will also appreciate the intricacy of JBando’s flow. In spite of his lyrical mastery, or well, maybe because of it, there is always enough space for some melody. While not exactly a neo-soul / R&B song, this track shows the world that JBando is able to take his melodies to the very next level and that he truly knows how to make the most out of his phrasing. The ad-libs and vocal layers are absolutely spot on, and he goes hard on the flow, while still retaining so much appeal. The vocal tracks are perfectly and expertly mixed in, looking in with the beats in order to create a truly astonishing and direct sound that knows no equal in terms of energy and charisma.
Ultimately, it is really safe to say that JBando brings together the best of two different musical philosophies: making a song catchy, and creating a true rap banger! JBando falls somewhere in between the two different approaches, and he always seems to know exactly what to do at any given time. Each song calls for something different, and that is why “See You There” is yet another example of JBando excellence. Inspired by none other than himself and his creative flow, this artist is never short on enthusiasm and passion for creating fantastic music, which will truly connect with the audience, whether they’re familiar with rap or not!

JBando is an artist and songwriter with a passion for exciting hooks, combining the energy of hip-hop, with the massive appeal of pop and R&B.
Based in Lawton, Oklahoma, JBando is all about bringing unique ideas together, giving the audience a fantastic experience. His most recent single, “Blueberry Island” perfectly captures his approach and musical attitude.
The song, which is now available on Soundcloud, kicks in with a unique texture. The melodies have a trippy vibe, and I love how the vocals bring so much melody to the mix. The trap-inspired beats have that classic 808 feel, especially in the clap tones and the hi-hat, which really brings the melody together. This song has a very atmospheric vibe, and it is the perfect track to chill too! I love the lush, reverberated soundscapes of the synths in the background, and more importantly, the drum samples add some energy and vibe, without necessarily compromising the integrity of the mix, or changing the pace of the song too much. The vocal performance is also on point. Some artists in this particular genre really abuse that autotune effect in my opinion. Not that there is anything wrong with that, and in fact, it can actually be a really cool effect, but sometimes it is so overused that it really gets tired and repetitive. On the other hand, JBando has a more natural approach to his vocals. You can really hear the feeling in his delivery, and the mood of the track. The natural energy of the performance is ultimately what makes this song really special. It has a classic vibe and a really amazing production, which has got a cool mood. In some ways, this song makes me think of artists such as Mac Miller (especially on his last album) and XXXTENTACION, who are also masterful at combining moody background textures with cool beats and natural-sounding vocals.
This song is definitely going to be your cup of tea if you are a fan of modern hip-hop and R&B. With every release, JBando always seems to strive for something different. I really love how he can seamlessly explore different ideas, and in the end, he always allows his personality to shine through and really turn his beats into full-on tracks that have a lot fo character, unlike anything else out there. Personality is always key in my opinion, and this song’s got loads of it!
In addition to that, the production aesthetic of “Blueberry Island” is fresh, contemporary, and balanced. The mix has a silky high-end and fatty low-end, that allows the artists’ vocals to come through in the mix. When it comes to music that is dominated by the spoken word, this is an essential element to the composition. 
“Blueberry Island” is definitely a one-of-a-kind track, because it cannot be easily pinned down to one single category. I love it when music feels so free and unapologetic. There is so much room to experiment and create something unique here, giving the audience a spectacular idea of what can be accomplished when there are no creative limitations to speak of.
This song has a different feel when you compare it to other releases from JBando. For example, his previously released song, “Gods Talking” really is almost like a perfect opposite. This is a very aggressive rap track with monstrous bass tones and edgy lyrics, leaning towards hip-hop, rather than soul and melody. On the other hand, “Blueberry Island” takes it on the chill side, revealing JBando’s ability to slow things down when needed, and give a more melodic influx to his vocal style.
These two songs alone are an outstanding example of JBando’s exciting creativity and one-of-a-kind attitude.
