Emerging from arcadia in a time when reality needs it most, MoBlack Records' 377th release summons Fortaleza-based, house music veteran, Carlos Francisco to render a stunning ballad nurtured by grief and nourished with love. Nestled in an ambrosial concursion of multi-dimensional percussion, Iorona builds up into a stark chorus rippled by an elusive melody, mellowed by tender piano notes but ultimately bound by the humanity of skin-on-skin, grounded in the simple rhythm of the basic hand clap.
Francisco garners the poignant perspective of a fellow South American in side B. Argentinian rising star and melodic house marvel, Santiago Garcia takes Iorona to a spright start, a brusquer, fiery bassline that initially takes her mourning off the spotlight only to divest to transcendence at climax, infusing sounds that feel like nature and smell like lore. Garcia's reinterpretation is a melodic surrender to mystery, an acceptance of the unknown, a dance for letting go and the time for letting be: Time to End.

Exclusive Mathias Schober - The Fall feat. Atelier

Co-label head Mathias Schober kicks off Lossless' 2020 with The Fall and releases his first entire EP after Continuing in 2018. For the EP's title track the eclectic producer invited Jaś from Atelier, who not only were responsible for Lossless' last release but also for the label's first album called Varsam Court. The Fall impresses due to its minimalstically held and well chosen selection of elements, which Mathias assembles to an intriguing basis that sets the backbone of the track and basically invites Ja to not only deliver some vocals but to sound new ways to effectively implement them. The result is an affectionate approach to music that overcomes physical borders by heartwarming and emotional vocals, leading to the rise of The Fall in these strange days.
