Four years after its inception in 2017, it’s time for a new chapter in the Melodic Deep odyssey! After creating a lovely community around highlighting music we love in the progressive and melodic house scene. It’s now our turn to leave our imprint with the launch of our label “Melodic Deep.”
Kicking things off with our first ever release, we’re pleased to welcome none other than Giorgia Angiuli! The Italian artist has already released on some of the biggest labels, including Oliver Koletzki’s 'Stil Vor Talent', 'Crosstown Rebels', 'Kindisch', 'Suara', to name just a few. We are excited to have had the opportunity of working with Giorgia on the embarking chapter of the 'Melodic Deep' journey. 
Your Mind Is A Magnet is a track that showcases all of Giorgia’s sonical palette. With her soothing vocals seating beautifully on top of a warm, dynamic bass. The whole is completed by an enticing oriental melody which captivates mind and body alike. A future dancefloor pleaser which is ready to be unleashed!

With SIAMESE020 we have come full circle. Shiffer, our good friend, Siamese family member and co-graphic designer with Adrian Schweizer since almost day one, has created his most personal release to date. This EP has been recorded during a challenging time in his life and reflects the journey through profound variations of human emotions. Remembering his very first production 'Drunk on Hope' on our initial Anthology release, we’re proud to see how Patrik's music evolved into such a genre-spanning array.

The title track 'Black Ballad' illustrates the proverbial tunnel but also the light at the end of it. For us this opener hits the spot right where tears of sadness and joy meet. It's filled with Shiffer's uncompromising grooves and basslines, gently touched by a sublime melody.

'Her, Endlessly' and 'A Deeper Understanding' are two beautifully crafted tracks we love to play during longer sets. They perfectly lead the crowd into a state of mutual trust and sincerity. 'Her, Endlessly' is more on the house and instrumental side of the spectrum, while 'A Deeper Understanding' is a bit darker, moodier and more trippy.

'Memento' is almost industrial sounding, heavy and yet hopeful, possibly even resembling early Burial releases, so creative and powerful. I remember Adrian Schweizer telling me to drop everything and that I should listen to this immediately. Five minutes later this track has been signed.

When it comes to music I personally enjoy the most, 'Moorgarten' is right up there, an unexpected composition with a familiar vibe. This track actually motivated me to do a whole playlist of this kind of music - trip-hop at its finest. You could even argue this pays tribute to some of the great hip-hop instrumentals from the 90s. Listen to some of these and you know where I am coming from.

All in all a diverse, unique and very promising record that opens up a new chapter in Shiffer's musical path and lead him anywhere he wants to be.

’Night Rider’ ticks all boxes as the soundtrack to a night of indulgent underground manoeuvres with Artche’s smouldering vocal calling on his inner David Gahan of the early 90s. The sub-bass pulses like a living entity as dark synths breath fire and intensity. The theme gets inside your head and it’s deep throbbing groove has just the right hint of sleaze to draw on your curiosity. Definitely a track you’ll play over and over in your sub-consciousness, wanting to delve deeper.

Release Info: 
STRIDE keeps on leading from the front with label boss and house tastemaker Rony Seikaly back with another huge new single. This one comes with on point remixes from fellow mainstays Bedouin and Audiojack.

Seikaly's Mila is a fresh, kicking house tune with bubbling beats and elastic bass. The chords are warm, the drums makes you move and the whole thing is finished off with a spine tingling male vocal that brings the emotion. Add in cosmic keys and you have a real winner.

Bedouin is a Brooklyn-based production and DJ partnership between nomads Rami Abousabe and Tamer Malki who are creating their own idiosyncratic spell of melodies and rhythms. They have released on the likes of Crosstown Rebels, All Day I Dream and more and here serve up a super remix. It is another one of their famously deep and smoky basement rollers that is designed for pure heady getaways, filled with subtle synths and dreamy pads that are lush and majestic.

Last of all, Audiojack offer a nice dreamy late night vibe with gentled chords and wispy pads all getting you into a romantic mood.

These are three more killers from this vital label.

With three EPs and an A-Sides cut to his name, Marco Faraone has been an invaluable label contributor, dating back to his Drumcode debut in 2013. The Italian remains one of scene’s most versatile producers, a torchbearer of both house and techno and able to craft both with masterful ease. Coming off two albums in 2020, his inspired form rolls on throughout ’21, with ‘Our Freedom’, his memorable fourth EP contribution to Adam Beyer’s label.

‘Burn Down’ is an evocative vocal-led trip, made just as much for the headphones as the dancefloors of the future. Led by layers of laser-kissed riffs and a resistance-leading vocal, the title track is an emotion-charged anthem-in-the-making. ‘Orbital’ has bags of personality and pep, bringing the vibe to a more optimistic place, with a silky melody line and plenty of effortless groove. ‘Magic Sunset’ is the cream on top; the percussion pulsating and punchy, as cascades of goosebump-inducing synths unfurl beautifully throughout the six-minute jam.

Earlier this year, Belfast-based DJ and producer Richie Blacker released his debut Anjunadeep single ‘2 Late 4 Love’. Quickly becoming a summer hit, ‘2 Late 4 Love’ was supported on radio stations including BBC Radio 1 and Kiss FM, and was championed by the likes of Nick Warren, Eelke Kleijn and Jody Wisternoff. 

Now, radio presenter, DJ and producer Danny Howard stamps his mark on ‘2 Late 4 Love’, delivering a club-ready track with driving bass lines and intertwining synths. Between hosting his influential Friday night show on BBC Radio 1 and heading his own label Nothing Else Matters, Howard has cemented himself as a tastemaker and skilled producer - qualities that are demonstrated in this latest club offering.

Out with their third EP of 2016, this August Monkey Safari will release 'Boris,' with remixes by Guy Mantzur and Victor Ruiz, showing the world once again that these guys aren't messing around. 'Boris' is the follow up to their successful mega-EP, 'Bernstein,' released in June, with remixes by John Digweed & Nick Muir and UNER. Drumcode starts 2020 with a sterling EP from genre hero Thomas Schumacher, his first on the label after a long association with Adam Beyer.

No ifs or buts, if you’re a techno fan, Thomas Schumacher holds a place in your heart. His 1997 classic ‘When I Rock’ still gets rinsed, he has a vast body of stellar work on his influential former label Spielzeug Schallplatten, including a release from Adam Beyer, and he continues to deliver pin-sharp productions via his Electric Ballroom imprint, including a scorching remix of ‘The House of House’, the 1994 classic from Cherry Moon Trax. The rework was first played by Beyer at Time Warp and has been a 2019 highlight.

He first contributed to Drumcode in 2018 with ‘The Unseen’, a stirring contribution to ‘A-Sides Vol.7’, setting up a maiden EP with ‘Crimson’. Beginning with the brilliant ‘Feist’, it’s a no-nonsense brain melter, as 303 arpeggios bloom and recede, creating a thrilling rhythmic intensity throughout. The title track ‘Crimson’ is crafted around two minutes of tension-building synths, before a beat finally appears and a rasping deep bassline commands the dancefloor. ‘Anker’ brings the rave with eagle-eye focus, unleashing a wall of fierce acid to round out the pack.

A fan favourite from Anjunadeep 11, 'Overtones' became renowned for its killer breaks and addictive synth riff. Heavily influenced by the sound of classic UK house music, the track also features an inspirational anonymous sample. 

Originally from Sydney, Frost has released on Mau5trap, alongside official remixes for the likes of ZHU and Sofi Tukker. His crisp production illustrates why he has garnered support from industry heavyweights such as Pete Tong.
