Soel - Neither But Both

Born and raised on one of the main streets of Maadi (Degla) , ytorky, AKA Youssef Torky, started his musical journey when he was 12 , when he was given a musical instrument by his Dad. It was at this moment that YTorky knew he wanted to be part of 'The Techno scene in Egypt.


He first became interested in the Techno music in 2013. In 2020, aged 21, his Mum and Dad bought him his first . At the age of 17, he was already being touted as Maadi 's answer to Andy C. He did various warm up sets before the doors opened in clubs hosting major names such as Andy C, Randall, Grooverider, DJ Hype, Doc Scott, Danny Dyer, Noisia, Nick Grimshaw, Skrillex, and many more. In 2018, he achieved his big break when he won a competition on an EDM forum to play a set at a phat rave, which Ytorky described as the greatest night of his life. It was after this point when he started getting gigs at big events such as Khabooty monkey and New year eve private project .
After receiving several offers, Ytorky joined , who helped distribute his first internet release, 'Happy ending ' in 2019. Though the single didn't sell as many as he probably would have liked, Ytorky is a fighter and since 2021 has been locked in the studio perfecting his craft.
Suffice to say, the Drum and Bass scene should be expecting big things from Ytorky in 2022.
