Innellea’s original ‘Colante’ contains very strong, domineering kicks and melodies, which control and confound the track’s pace, constantly teasing your ears. The curious bass lines serve as a marvelous foundation for both the original and remix. Nick Devon takes on his own approach with ‘Colante’, adding his own flavours and tempo, as this tastefully composed track slinks shyly into your mind.

‘Galangant’, a spicy track best served hot, features beautifully arranged synths which lure and capture your soul and heart simultaneously. The intelligent use and variation of highs has made a creatively curious composition. Dahu’s take on ‘Galangant’ features his own approach towards sound manipulation, creating an eerie effect on this ethereal track. Out with their third EP of 2016, this August Monkey Safari will release 'Boris,' with remixes by Guy Mantzur and Victor Ruiz, showing the world once again that these guys aren't messing around. 'Boris' is the follow up to their successful mega-EP, 'Bernstein,' released in June, with remixes by John Digweed & Nick Muir and UNER. Their next four-track EP shows the brothers' more serious, grownup side, taking new risks with no vocals, utilizing empty spaces and slower buildups. 'Boris' showcases proper club music: dark and sweaty Tech House with a hypnotic twist.
In the first track of the EP, self-titled "Boris," Sven and Lars go even deeper into their trance trajectory bridging on the darker side of Techno. Amaranto is delicately energetic in its groove, rolling through deep atmospheres and smooth vocals. The italian producer impresses again with his uplifting touch and top-notch analog and modular synths.

Amaranto is part of the first release in the 'Spirits' compilation series launched by Crosstown founder Damian Lazarus, which he describes as 'a fresh psychedelic journey into the mind' aiming to bring together a collection of new artists from both Crosstown Rebels and its sister label Rebellion.

Marcus Meinhardt’s track “Hibiskuss” brings pulsating and warm tropical layers together, seducing its listener into total indulgence. The tribal percussions set the tone, shaking and grooving throughout the track and thus providing a framework for the beautiful melody. Having a light melancholic touch to it, which is underlined by the vocal elements, there is still a positive vibe radiating off the track. Through the build up it feels like you are taken on a journey following new, enchanting soundscapes, culminating in a twirl of bliss in the break. He's one of the thriving forces in Istanbul's floorishing nightlife, a mainstay in the national electronic music scene for almost two decades, a DJ, a producer, a trained sound-engineer, a co-label owner but foremost an artist, whose music hits the zeitgeist. Carefully selected and well-produced releases on labels such as Innervisions, Isolate and Multinotes granted Murat Uncuoglu worlwide recognition and put the artist into the scene's spotlight. As his 'Trees Of Light' EP is about to be released as early as the end of March on renowned Italian label Multinotes, Murat sat down with Torture the Artist to speak about the local electronic music scene, the role of his family for his career in the music business, his newly co-founded label Isolate and, of course, his upcoming EP.
