'Venezuelan artist Fur Coat steps up to add his own signature sound to Karol XVII & MB Valence's 'Fool's Gold' single.

Fur Coat is the solo project of Sergio Muñoz, an artist in the truest sense of the word who looks to craft musical journeys as a DJ and moving melodies and emotions as a producer. He has dropped two acclaimed albums including 2020's ‘Polyphony’ on Renaissance, as well as EPs on Balance, Last Night On Earth, Watergate and of course his own Øddity Records. He is a regular at the world's finest clubs from Fabric to Space Miami, Warung in Brazil to Pacha and explores new possibilities every time he steps up.

'Fool's Gold' feat. Jono McCleery was the final single from Karol XVII & MB Valence's well-received album ‘Essay’, which dropped in February 2022. It now gets remixed by Fur Coat into something that will send shivers up the spine. The chords are filled with melancholy. The vocal is beautifully tender and conveys a sense of pain. The drums are what lift you up as they roll on while the synths grow more optimistic and majestic.

Following Colyn’s standout track on the Realm Of Consciousness Pt.IV compilation, we see the full breadth of his scope as a producer on his first EP for the label.

‘The Secret Of Eos’ started with one of those special requests: Tale Of Us asked the Italian duo for something special for their weekly opening sets at Hi, Ibiza. The track was delivered and it became a key staple of their sets all summer.

You can instantly hear why; that crisp arpeggio, those lush shimmering pipes, the poignant chords and stunning vocal. A true scene-pace-tone setter, drop this and watch the whole crowd lock-in en masse as they submit to the journey… A journey that can be extended and manipulated to your pleasure thanks to the beatless version which highlights the musical versatility of the track and how it lends itself to any sets in the house/techno/progressive/trance axis.

For the final track of this remarkable EP we head far east for ‘Japan’. A much darker tale told by Daniele Aprile and Mario Roberti, this one firms our focus squarely on that lava-like bassline that morphs, mutates and melts throughout the track, taking us deeper and deeper into Fideles’ signature rabbit hole, to places unchartered.
