Greetings, weary travelers. Welcome to the world of Speed on the Beat on SoundCloud. 

This previously neglected platform will play host to some of SOTB's newest songs since the last time this was updated. In other words, just about anything before Caviar Dreams has been scrubbed. 

I am the purveyor of "No-Fi" Hip-Hop, hence my self-appointed title of "The No-Fi King." Prior to (restarting) my music career in 2016 with 'The Sorest Loser,' I ran a few blogs (one of which, SpeedontheBeat.com, is still active), acted as a social analyst for a couple websites/papers, interviewed some of your favorite artists and pissed off plenty of people with my sometimes controversial thoughts. 

To be honest, nothing's changed, except I also do it in musical form (yet again).

n1ghtmar3cat is the vocal-driven alt-pop project of award-winning New Zealand musician and producer Dave Johnston. Known for its indie-electronic edge and singer-songwriter intimacy, n1ghtmar3cat builds atmospheric soundscapes around prominent vocals, creating an immersive listening experience. This captivating combination stems from his extensive background as a multi-faceted producer and performer, contributing to projects such as Villainy, PHNX, MISSY, Dead Favours, Delivery Boyz, and The Zoup over the past decade.

Drawing inspiration from the atmospheric depth of Mansionair, the moody electronics of The Weeknd and Banks, and the innovative production of Flume, n1ghtmar3cat continues to sculpt compelling sonic worlds that invite repeated exploration.
