A research institute at Southern Methodist University is partnering with IBM to help ‘smart’ devices against cyberattacks and strengthen autonomous systems.  

According to a June press release, the Darwin Deason Institute for Cyber Security is launching a new Cyber Autonomy Range. In particular, the institute will research security for facial recognition programs on smartphones.
