It Never Gave Me Anything describes a relationship between a person and an unwanted side of themselves. This side is so unlike how they want to be that they treat them as a separate entity, maybe even a person. It has always been there, ruining moments, talking to them and making sure that they never forget that it is present. A seemingly never ending list of things this "it" is responsible for is recited over a pulsating beat and bass riff that is both ominous and groovy at the same time. This paired with a wall of distorted guitars that show up in the bridges and choruses, creates a song that makes you question what mood the song leaves you with. As is typical of the band, the song plays with what emotion, as well as which genre, it evokes.

Melt This is the first offering from Bollo Bollo's upcoming Sophomore EP 'Say It Twice', due for release in the autumn of 2023. The track is the perfect late summertime soundtrack. Entirely written, recorded and produced by the band themselves, lead singer Bradley Ayres said of the lyrical content: 

"It's a song about having troubles in a relationship. Rather than taking the seemingly easier route and 'burying-your-head-in-the-sand', it's about tackling the issues head on. The reference to the growth of pears and apple trees in the chorus is how I imagine and visualise the best parts of a relationship - there will always be time and room for beautiful moments, and for things to grow, you just need to get through the tougher times and find a way to work things out - in this case 'something to melt this'. 

Melt this is due for release on the 11th August 2023 on all major streaming platforms.
