What if we don't know all the details? We most definitely don't. There might be no limit to the precision, and even minor changes to our perception could be concept-shattering on a larger scale. There is a connection, a wire, that joins both ends of the spectrum; at least we think there is. Wiring up the system, we discover the tiniest particles at the high energies; thus, we explore the world in its entirety. This dream journey might never end. We hope it will never end.

Into The Abyss Special Mix | TAAR1 Live at Martin Luther Church 2024

TAAR1 is a trace amine associated receptor, which plays an important role in the regulation of neurotransmission in dopamine, norepinephrine, and serotonin neurons in the central nervous system. It is therefore also of great importance for the states that we want to achieve with our music. They focus on musical research based on hypnotic rhythms and repetitions to achieve trance-like states.

These two Modular Nerds have been flying under the radar of Dresden's Club and Cultural Scene for several Years with their Project "TAAR1." The name comes from Medicine and describes a Receptor or Protein that can lead to surreal and supernatural experiences. The name suggests that the duo aim for extraordinary experiences with their atmospheric, deep, and hypnotic sound design. They take their time, allowing both themselves and the audience to enter a state of trance.

DIRTY GLASSEZ is all about diversity of genres... His experiments with dusty, deconstructed sound coexist with brooding harmonies and syncopated rhythms, clearly influenced by the UK underground culture. Combining ambient electronica with elements from garage, breakbeat and techno, DIRTY GLASSEZ's music hits the listener with pure emotions, dominated by melancholy. DIRTY GLASSEZ surfaced on System 108 via Kovyazin D's ‘Acid Is Your Friend’ compilation with the track 'IN MY MIND'. His original sound evolved further in to the dancefloor direction with 'Basic Instincts’ EP, where the artist's creative search did not stop and headed exploring ambient and post-dubstep.

Now, with his debut album called 'Neverbeen', DIRTY GLASSEZ evokes feelings of nostalgia — nostalgia for lives never lived: places never seen, people never known, houses never lived in. The sounds in the tracks scatter and reassemble, keeping the picture blurry, but soon details become sharp. With recognition comes happiness. Music for night walks, while peering into other people's windows.
