Future Wave is a collaborative project between So Future and New Wave serving as a dedicated platform to showcase the evolution and diversity of Electronic music, with a special focus on finding and amplifying talented emerging DJs and well-seasoned established talent alike. Future Wave seeks to fill the gap in opportunities specifically for Black talent in the Electronic music scene by creating space for them both online and IRL. This mix from Shaii was delivered as part of the B2B set featured at our Shoreditch House x Future Wave event held in November 2023.

Experience the exciting sonic realm of @shaila-jay, a multi-disciplinary South London native with a curiosity and passion for all things creative. DJing for less than 6 months, Shaii boldly prioritises discovery and experimentation in exploring Soulful, Afro, Funky House, and Amapiano realms. With a growing portfolio spanning multi-genre edits, from Jungle to Footwork and Baile Funk, Shaii enters the DJ world poised to blend the vibrant realms of Black electronic music.
