Two years after the milestone SOMEWHERE compilations, Something Happening Somewhere is commemorating the times that have passed, returning with a new chapter in the series. Selecting unique pieces of artists known and less known, the SOMEWHERE series continue their sound based confessional. Telling unheard stories, exposing unseen surfaces and unheard sounds.

SOMEWHERE III is set to be released as two vinyl samplers, with a selection of the tracks featured in the full digital compilations, which will feature four extra digital only tracks. A host of familiar SoHaSo figures make an appearance, but there is also room for new faces like Aril Brikha, KAAP, Ripperton in his stunning collab with Love over Entropy, Equus, Tracey and Mulder. The whole effort is packaged in a beautiful artwork sleeve designed by ever talented designer Quentin Deronzier. There are things radiating in the violet fog, waiting to be discovered. Journeys that are worth making, but will not necessarily provide any more answers. Something is happening somewhere, once again.

Every artist on this SOMEWHERE III compilation is expressing their unique experience through sound waves, telling stories and uncovering a piece of themselves. Is there a line that divides your consciousness from the next? This compilation inhabits a space, best experienced as one entity with many faces. OUTRAGE.

A mysterious deep house track driven by groovy beats and mystical atmospheres. Smooth guitar weave through layers of acid-infused synths, while jazzy chords and riffs add an unexpected warmth and sophistication. The result is a hypnotic fusion of groove, experimentation, and haunting emotion.

She wandered the streets of New York city, lost amidst the chasm of blinking lights and the glow of signs. She could not recall pain like this at any point previously. This feeling of loss and sadness was overwhelming and pointed. Perhaps we humans should care little for one another, eat the heart if you will, pretend it does not exist. This might make life less cold and distant. The concrete beneath her feet groaned as she heavily tread, this was nothing but a walk in the dark. 

Aril Brikha features on a new compilation set for release on Something Happening Somewhere. He delivers a melodic cut in his own truly hypnotic style.
