In the depths of darkness, it's often found in the water, a symbol of life's relentless flow, Swirling, consuming, with an undertow. Yet, within it, we glean a lesson of resilience and license as an ever-present theme.
In the village of the mind, where fears reside, resilience stands as a beacon and a guide. Through the tempest of doubt, it holds sway and Leads us through the darkest days.
When the waters rise and all seems lost, resilience emerges a steadfast frost, a force unyielding against the tide, And the ebb and flow of life's relentless ride.
So let the water take everything it may; Resilience will endure, come what may; in its abstract embrace, we find our might, Guiding us through the darkest night.

Bio/
Arjen Schat has been active in electronic music under numerous monikers since the late '90s. His much-acclaimed "Reduct" series made him stand out as one of the top dub techno producers in the Netherlands, and he is still standing strong with a steady stream of releases and remixes on labels worldwide. In addition to dub techno, Arjen has been tailoring the 'Berlin-school' sound to his unique sonic identity alongside his ever-expected amount of ambient and meditative drone music.

Stevie Cox - Jecht Shot EP

Having released her debut EP on the label in 2022 with the Daydreamer EP, a collaboration with Fossil Archive, Stevie Cox returns Remmah with her latest solo EP.

Following on the heels of February’s Expansion EP for Optimo Music, ‘Jecht Shot’ is a JRPG-influenced  dose of melodic drum & bass that combines her burgeoning production talents with the rhythmic sensibilities she’s honed through her residencies at Glasgow’s Sub Club and La Cheetah.  

Packaged with the title track is the trancey deep space acid roller ‘Midnight With DC’, and a remix of ‘Jecht Shot’ by Cooper Saver, the Canada-based Californian producer with prior releases on Live At Robert Johnson, Hivern Discs and Internasjonal.  His rework moulds the original’s breaks into a hypnotically meditative cut that would have felt perfectly at home on Warp’s Artificial Intelligence compilations.

Well, what is this? Simply said, this mix is a blend of ambient and downbeat music that is supposed to be both soothing and challenging. Listening back, it feels like diving deep into a fluorescent, sparkling abyss. 

I'm a fan of static and otherworldly drones and soundscapes. And so I've included key tracks from artists such as Bohren & Der Club Of Gore, The Necks, Madlib’s self-centred super group Yesterdays New Quintet and the great Jan Jelinek, among many others.

Uplifting dub-infused club music from Utrecht, where https://soundcloud.com/lunaludmila has been carving out her own electronic micro cosmos over the last two decades. The Dutch dj and producer returns to SoHaSo with the beautiful Hoisin EP, which represents her bright look on how dance floors should move. 

While working on her upcoming live set, this creative process led to a lot of new music, as the four tracks on this EP illustrate. Take for instance title track Hoisin Dreams, which combines sultry strings with breakbeat-infused rhythms and pulsating baselines. Change of Scenery is equally challenging and bright. With its stomping kickdrums it even gives a slight nod to Underworld. On the club friendly Thalia, tribal rhythms take the front stage while closing track Waterkant is clearly a more dreamlike affair, with its dub heavy basslines.
