It has been many months since I've found the inspiration to improvise on the keys. I began to think to myself that my improvisational skills were not worthy enough, and had a difficult time enjoying the music that came out of these improvs, so I lost the drive to improvise and stopped. Lately, I decided to get back into it. Still not really satisfied with the results since I'm probably also rusty at it, but at least I've found some motivation to try again. However, I intend to continue my diary of piano improvisations and to get better. Hopefully with more attempts, and with more time doodling at the keys, I will improve at this skill of improvising. 

As always, I'd appreciate any comments on what you think of the piece.

Our Story

"Svensk Psalm 100 - Thy Kingdom Come", with variations. Gunnar Wennerberg (1817-1901) is best known for his songs "Gluntarna" for tenor, bass and piano. They depict student life in Uppsala in the mid-1800s. He has also written hymns and is represented in three hymns in the Swedish hymnal. "Thy Kingdom Come" was written in 1870, the same year that Lina Sandell (1832 - 1903) wrote the text. She is of course well known for many hymn texts, not least "Blott en dag, ett stund i tider". Gunnar Wennerberg was for a time Minister of Education and sat in the Swedish Academy on Chair 2 and in the Academy of Music.

Gunnar Wennerberg (1817-1901) är mest känd för sina sånger "Gluntarne" för tenor, bas och piano. De skildrar studentlivet i Uppsala i mitten av 1800 talet. Han har också skrivit hymner och finns representerad i tre psalmer i svenska psalmboken. 
Tillkomme ditt rike skrevs 1870 samma år som Lina Sandell (1832 - 1903) skrev texten. 
Hon är förstås välbekant för många psalmtexter, inte minst "Blott en dag, ett ögonblick i sänder".

Gunnar Wennerberg var under en tid utbildningsminister och satt i Svenska akademins på stol 2 och i Musikaliska akademin.
