Royal Flush is a trip hop cut I produced in the early 2000s, in Long Beach, California. Built from sample-based production, it’s got that raw, 12-bit vibe from the MPC 60 I was chasing in those days — heavy drums layered with chopped textures, the kind of beat that knocks but still feels dusty and underground.

This track represents the spirit of those early sessions, when everything was DIY, raw, and fueled by experimentation. It’s the sound of Gutter Water Music finding its voice — jazzy, independent, and my sound.

If you’re into classic underground hip hop, raw sample flips, and early 2000s indie rap energy, this one delivers that unfiltered vibe.

Royal Flush

One half of the legendary production duo Monastry with Atoribeats, Soii hails from the Blue Mountains and is known for blending old-school vibes with a modern twist. Using vintage hardware, an SP1200 sampler, and carefully selected vinyl, he creates soulful rhythms and infectious grooves.
