On October 3rd Sandmarx’s new song “Band on Fire” was published with a music video: http://bit.ly/1umjJtm. “Band on Fire” is a track on their new album “The Perfect Storm”, recorded and produced in Conclave and Earshot Studios with Bjørnar Nilsen and Arve “Icedale”. The album was successfully released worldwide on October 10th 2014, and received great feedback from both fans and the press (for reviews, please visit http://www.reverbnation.com/sandmarx/press). 

Especially the melodic and emotive guitar solos, and Sandra’s dynamic vocals where in one moment it is quiet and vulnerable, while in the next can give you a severe “punch in the face”, are characteristics of “The Perfect Storm”, and the response from the audience.

Sandmarx is a modern hard rock band, formed in Norway in the fall of 2009 by vocalist & keyboardist Sandra Szabo and guitarist Marcus Greenway only a year after Marcus started learning guitar because he admired Sandra and her music. They decided to start a band, and moved from east to the west, to the city of Bergen. The music can be similar to bands and artists like Shinedown, Slash, Avenged Sevenfold, Halestorm, and as many people have suggested, Sandmarx might sound like a modern Guns N’ Roses.

After countless shows in different cities of Norway, a small tour in England where Sandmarx played in London and Birmingham, and support gigs for bands like L.A Guns and Audrey Horne, while regularly posting videos to Youtube, Sandmarx has gained fans from all over the world, and keep maintaining a stable and growing relationship with them.

In 2012 they released the EP "Fancy Cars and Fat Cigars" with songs like "Buy the World" and "Liar". A music video for "Liar" was released in the summer of 2013, produced by a team from Oslo. 

Sandmarx always gives a 110% of themselves on stage, something that reflects the number of new fans after each show and the feedback from the audience, concert managers and other business people.

‘The Perfect Storm’ lasts just over 41 minutes filled with one great song after another! It starts off slowly with the intro, however it doesn’t take long for this band to show you what there are all about with a song that comes and hits you right between the eyes, with the front woman’s incredibly powerful classic rock vocals that bring the whole album together and their chucky guitar riffs that will make you want to stand on a table playing the air guitar you have! This is a band that knows how to write some hard hitting songs and yet still has that emotion that makes you fall in love with your favourite band!
