My name is Lucas, pronouns he/him, i'm 31. I was born and raised in Lyon, I'm currently living in Rennes where I work as an organic vegetable farmer for an association. The farm  is also a venue where we host gigs, parties and more.

Listen to the moment at 1:11 mark in your PI mix… describe how it makes you feel?

It is a moment of growing tension, it makes me feel like I want to be in a club to hear a moment like this. I like when there’s unpredictability in a build up and with the layering of those 2 tracks at that time mark, you can’t really know when the pressure’s gonna be released.

Best gig of your life so far?

It would be both a gig I played and a gig I attended and it was the final afterparty of Positive Education Festival 2018. The most euphoric vibes I've seen on a dancefloor, epic set by the festival co-founders & friends Charles & Antoine as Les Fils de Jacob. 

Favorite mix in recent memory?

Ani/live number 3, livwutang at Nowadays.
Incredible blends of all kind of club music genres.
Exactly what I feel like I want to do these days, thus being far from the result. This mix is really inspiring and really resonated with me.

What would you like to see in the future for the dance community?

I’d like to see more clubs & venues in France like Macadam in Nantes : no pictures/video, nice sound system, inclusive policy and constant communication on how to behave in a club & a lot of smoke inside. I think we lack this kind of venue in the country. The educational part is very important because I tend to find a lot of people being disrespectful towards other people, venue staff and artists.

The first edition of Era Specific Noise is both an ode to the early 2000s and the debut of a new alias by label founder Richardson. Having spent the better part of his recent memory scouring record stores and consuming more VG+ dance music than is medically recommended, this 12-inch marks a personal shift towards character-filled production without limitation.

Armed with a growing appreciation for the originality and love poured into old-school techno, ESPN001 is the first glimpse into Richardson's fast-growing stockpile of musical weaponry.

We kick things off with "Introductions", the first of two upbeat, vocal-laden pieces of DJ-friendly dance music that make up the A side. A new hardware-focused approach produces whirling, stabbing chords and a groovy baseline to meet the eponymous sample of this track. Up next, "Coming In Hot" which does just that - presenting a cohesion of warm, groovy techno littered with dubby synths and a throwback feel.

On the flip side is a pair of fresh takes reminiscent of the more functional sound of the era - the timeless, loopy techno that powers dancefloors worldwide. There’s nothing quite like finding a hidden gem on the B side! Robotic vocal loopings and a galloping low-end form “Notch”, a warehouse tune completed by a warmer feeling send-off littered with floating pads and a classic Reese bass. Closing out the release is “Synthetic Scream”, a synthesiser in anguish showcasing an almost mournful interpretation of the 909 era, complete with fast, driving percussion and classic break hits.

"In times like these, it is not easy to focus on music. The world feels so dark and scary, and fighting the inner demons is too often a full time job. 

But one night I found myself back in the studio, playing around with the machines – and suddenly a bright and uplifting acid piece emerged.

I decided to call it »Sunshine For A Depressed Mind«. 

And from there I knew what story I wanted to tell with my next Snuffo EP ... 

»Sunshine For A Depressed Mind« also got a remix treatment by Nerk (from legendary Techno group TokTok). And he delivered an absolute killer rework! 

As further tracks I added the restless »Nervous System« and the hypnotic »Unreality« to the release. 

Plus, there's a beatless reprise of »Sunshine For A Depressed Mind« as closing track. Now I'm really excited to share this new music with you. I hope it makes you happy, too.

Marking his debut on UK-based experimental bass label Sonic Disturbances (SD), @noRecall delivers a richly textured, layered take on bass music.

Inspired by a trip to Shinjuku in November, the release captures the district's dual energy—debaucherous by night and eerily calm by day.

The title track builds on field recordings taken from the area, woven into immersive sonic landscapes that reflect Tokyo's contrasting rhythms.
