With a career spanning 15 years Dave Juric is a true multi-genre specialist. Known for his expertly-crafted warm up sets for progressive heavyweights like Henry Saiz, Hernan Cattaneo, Guy J, Oliver Schories & Danny Howells he has proven is equally adept at priming the dance floor for house and techno artists like James Zabiela, Patrice Baumel, Stacey Pullen, Thomas Schumacher, Matthias Meyer & Metodi Hristov.

The last few years has he also expanded is repertoire incorporating more driving, peak time sounds into his sets. These days you’re now just as likely to see him closing nightclubs across Melbourne taking audiences into the early hours of the morning with his now signature sound of rolling progressive and tripped out techno.

Alongside a hugely successful career as a club DJ, he has also been booked to perform at renowned festivals Rainbow Serpent (2015 - Sunset Stage, 2017 - Market Stage, 2018, 2019 – Chill Stage), Esoteric, Lost Paradise (NSW), Subsonic (NSW), Babylon, Tell No Tales, Electric Gardens, Summadayze & Let Them Eat Cake.

Whether crafting a collection of downtempo ambient electronica, warm progressive house, driving techno, even breaks or drum & bass he is sure to provide the perfect selection of music at just the right time.

Welcome back to our podcast series!

We are very pleased to have extremely talented, Romanian dj/producer @rielro as our narrator for the 101 episode.

Born in Galati, Riel is an independent DJ but also an electronic music producer, he began his career in early 2007, influenced by sounds like house, disco and funk. Since its inception tube a good response from his audience and this helped him to be characterized by his immense charisma and energy at the time of their presentations. After years of activity as a DJ, he decided to try the electronic music producer scene. His musical culture at this time included a wide range of styles: Funk, Hip-Hop, Afro-beat and more speci cally House Music. Embodies the essence of tribal and afro sounds. He grew up in an atmosphere of african rhythms that he is authentically overlaying on house music. Armed with a plethora of percussive instruments, along with soul-awakening vocals recorded in various areas in Africa, he sprays the musical scene with his organic signature sound.

Let us take you on a trip, a journey full of sounds and beats. Not to the underground - but to a picturesque village in Tunisia named Sidi Bou Said. Set on a promontory, the artistic town is overlooking the mediterranean sea and is known for its blue and white houses. Different Ray's favorite cocktail, the Sidi Bou Kobsa, is named after one of the most beautiful towns in Tunisia.  

Tunisian producer and DJ Different Ray is  an eclectic selector and music producer whose musical journey draws upon multiple styles and sounds. He embarks in an artistic, tireless effort to offer a melodic trip to his deeper, more complex, and profound feelings.

His releases are featured on lables such as Hoomidaas, Poesie Musik, Art Vibes Music, Sound Avenue, Nie Wieder Schlafen.  His music has been played and supported by the likes of Nick Warren, Kora, Death On Balcony  Mark Slee, Nils Hoffmann and many more.
