I started producing music back in 1997 because my cousin and extremely talented vocalist, Diane Charlemagne suggested that I give it a go and hooked me up with some producers to teach me the basics. I started out with an Atari computer and a crack copy of Cubase Version 2.0 and later got an Akia 2000. I had so little knowledge at first that I made my remixes (pre-studio) by playing the arrangement via Cubase and manually mixing acapella's from B side's of 12" Vinyl's into the mix from a Technics deck! I moved out of Noah's Ark and progressed onto Cubase VST.

Her first album “Take Me As I Am’ entered the Beatport pop charts at position 3 hitting the number one spot a week later.

Slimmie has worked with some of the genre’s top producers and labels including Andy Moor, Steve Williams ( - Eric Clapton, Sting), Danny Stubbs, Claudio Fiore,Yuri Lima, Fredd Moz, Muzik Dealerz, Cloverfield, Arman Bahrami, Blue Motion, Kovny, Michele Cecchi, 5thDimension, Vitodito, Cloverfield, Ultrasonic, Pascha and more.

As an artist, Slimmie has circled the globe. She also created her own radio program in 2006, which combined a wide variety of EDM spanning from Progressive House to Trance to Chillout, and everywhere in between, including interviews with up and coming artists.

Always the cutting edge innovator, Slimmie was the first UK artist to perform live on the virtual world of SecondLife, in front of an live interactive audience of thousands, drawing the attention of numerous European radio and television outlets including the UK's CapitalFM and Radio One. This led to her creating and pioneering performances online for other virtual companies, such as Active Worlds, Twinity and more.

Memorable Performances have ranged from Nelson Mandela’s '46664' Concert, Sport Relief (Comic Relief) The Prince of Wales Rainforest Trust, Second Fest and Radio Ones ‘Big Weekend’. 

Currently, Slimmie is back to work in the studio on a second album and also writing for pop artists and DJ/Producers and is fast becoming a familiar name within the European music dance scene.

London based DJ Asterix discovered the art of Djing in 1989, inspired by good friend Ewan McNeil (The Beginnerz/Nocturnal/Downtown records). London was a great place to be the the early 90`s and favourite hangouts included Phil Salons Mud club, Busbys, Rage,The Crazy club (Astoria) as well as Brixtons` legendary Loughborough Pk parties hosted by Micky Daley,TinTin, Bryan Gee
       In 1994 he moved to Canada representing MCA (Uk),as well as Pete Tongs` London records` offshoot - FFRR. His first Canadian gigs were at Toronto's first legal all night dance venue - The Tunnel Club supporting the likes of Mark Oliver, John E, and Kofi. He then set up Cultural vibes (Canada), an events company (named in honour of Cultural vibes uk) challenging the likes of Mike Steins` Pleasure Force, Syrous and Destiny. Using regular shows on Energy 108 fm (Drivetime with Scot Turner) and MTV (Electric Circus) and North America's YTV, to promote his events.
            A highlight, New Years Eve 1994 was supporting Deelite (Groove is in the heart) in blizzard battered downtown Toronto and shortly supporting Derricks` May and Carter at the enormous 5000 people "Better days" party on Toronto's east side.
            Returning to England in late 1994 he took up a residency at "Fusions" and together with Matt B took control of both Tuesday and Friday nights. So much fun! In 1995 Mixmag  voted Fusions` Tuesday night as one of their top ten favourite nights in the country. Other gigs included Naughty but nice in Hereford with Dave Dorrel and Alistair Whitehead, The sound factory - Plymouth with Paul Honey and Cultural vibes dj`s and the legendary beach parties on the south coast with Matt B, Dean Lambert, and Graham Gold.
            2005 saw Asterix take up a new residency at "Alphabet", in the heart of Soho, and in 2006 he joined www.innacityfm.com broadcasting his weekly Sunday show via the web. Recent Gigs have included  Dex/The Clubhouse in Brixton, Circle bar in Clapham, The White house - Clapham, Juno in Shoreditch, Overdose in Norwich, boat Parties on the good ship Wilfred down at Temple Pier, Cafe 1001 on Brick lane, Oval space Hackney, the Shoreditch, the Millenium Belgravia, Bloomsbury bowls club, The Regent Balham and the IOD on Pall Mall.
