I have always been into music right from when I was a youngster.  My parents had an amazing vinyl collection and used to play all sorts of music when I was growing up right from pop to classical.  And the radio used to be on a lot so I used to listen a lot of the electronic sounds of the 80s.  I guess my first 'musical' love was hip-hop and r'n'b (as it was back in the 90s), then I transitioned into house music by accident in the early 2000s while attending some really good nights in Ponana night club (it was also here that I first saw Craig Smith do his thing).  

It's almost exactly 10 years since ago since I first started learning how to DJ when I was a student, then I managed to get some residencies in some bars and clubs.  I guess my style is soulful/deep/jazzy/latin/gospel/afro house but I also like to mix it up and spin some disco and soul when I can.

I believe one of music's functions is to make people feel good; I get a lot of pleasure out of listening to the music that I love, and I always try to make sure others feel good when I am playing at a gig.

My influences/inspirations include Nathan Haines, Shaun Escoffery, Shea Soul, DJ Spinna, Craig Smith, Louie Vega, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, DJ Spen, Karizma, Sean McCabe, Neil Pierce, Joe Clausell, Jon Cutler, Luther Vandross, Chaka Khan, Miles Davis...and many more. 

Over the years these gifted artists have helped to build up my musical tastebuds and have also influenced the way that I DJ.
