Belfast selector NuJamz (Ryan Stewart) has been part of Northern Ireland’s underground scene for over twenty years. A regular at Thompsons Garage since 2013, he’s known for deep, hypnotic sets that move between house, disco, acid, and techno.

Between 2009 and 2013, he made several appearances at The Stiff Kitten and played Shine on NYE in the Bunatee Bar as well as other venues around the city before taking up his long-running position at Thompsons, a Belfast clubbing institution for over 30 years.

Currently holding a residency at Stereo Sessions, he has played alongside artists including Cinthie, Prosumer, Riva Starr, Eli Escobar, Sarah Story, and Dan Shake, earning a reputation for warm, flowing groove, precise technical control, and marathon sets that build energy over hours.

He is also a long-time guest for Jika Jika!, performing at Ebrington Square, Malin Head, and Sugar Nightclub, with standout appearances playing after Sasha and warming up for Dave Seaman and Fatboy Slim.

From 2014 to 2020, NuJamz hosted live shows on Belfast Underground Radio, in the record store supporting local DJs and streaming long-form mixes from the booth.

Heading into 2026, you never know what to expect, he takes each day as it comes.
