This compilation is inspired by our collaboration with one of the most culturally relevant and timeless brands, Stussy. 

We've taken dozens of tracks into consideration to curate the finest selection of progressive music from around the world to bring visibility to the future sound. Because there is so much talent out there, it was challenging to pull this compilation together to showcase a progression and cohesive flow that reflects both Stussy and Soulection cultures respectively. 

You will see familiar official Soulection artists on this compilation as well some new talent from forward-thinking and ambitious producers, emcees and vocalists that we're excited about and feel have a bright future.

Our partnership with the iconic brand includes a 'Soulection Tribe' limited t-shirt designed by Stussy as well as a physical in-store event and after party at our Sound Of Tomorrow Los Angeles monthly at The Echoplex on 9.5.14.

Italian duo PHUNK INVESTIGATION strike back with the second release on our imprint. This time they delivered a peak time NuDisco track with catchy vocal licks and funky bass lines. On the remix duty we could get South American producer and DJ @CRISTIANPOOW on board who already released successfully on our label in 2014 as well. 
His remix takes a clubbier direction without loosing the vibes of the original. Make sure to give this huge single a listen and make your own opinion.

This piece has been written when the little chickens came out of their coop last year. The chickens were just this big to not get caught by cats or vulture birds. With all these funny little creatures, wandering around the yard, it’s been a perfect inspiration for this piece.

After the success of her first self-released EP “The Suspended Kid”, Sevdaliza releases her second batch of enigmatic songs on “Children of Silk”. The songstress/producer draws her influences from several textures like skin and glass. Sevdaliza’s melancholic visceral voice floats over beds of mechanical instrumentation, creating dynamics of chaos and order. Her songs have a philosophical questioning character, subjects like gender diversification and perception of emotion are strongly present. Diverse comparisons have been drawn yet it remains a difficulty to specify her in a particular genre. Rhythmic tensions build slowly into chaotic climaxes. Every retribution of her lyrics becomes more intense and personal, yet she isn’t able to break from that obscure statue of a woman. Children of Silk is now available worldwide via Itunes/Spotify.
