Originally from France and now based in Berlin Isolated Material has dropped a steady run of heavy hitting releases on labels including; Brokntoys, Haws, Ukonx, 909 Connection and Mind Controlled Rectifier before joining us for his debut EP on 20/20 Vision. 

‘Hidden Node’ kicks off the wax with a jarring excursion of futuristic breaks and abrasive sound design firing on all cylinders with complex drum patterns, bleeps and glitches.  ‘Asynchronous Funk’ sees Isolated Material serve up an abstract slice of electro funk with a solid broken beat groove peppered with unexpected moments of off-kilter magic. 

On the flip side - title track ‘Hidden Node’ offers up a dose of Drexciyan inspired funk primed for a set on the dark side of the moon with; high octane breaks, quick fire drum programming, intricate synth patterns and ominous undertones. Wrapping up the EP ‘Unmarked Sequence’ is an equally potent chaser for the wide eyed deep space traveller in need of body jerking breaks.

Lazercat - Dissociation Constant

Italian label ALLEY VERSION continues its 'Tracks From The Alley' series of releases with a fourth instalment in which it continues to explore the oblique edges of the jackin zone, dragging recognisable primitive elements of dance music through the narcotic madness; a possible soundtrack for sleepless nights at the skate park. 

In this new volume, the Japanese producer Takeshi Kouzuki, who besides having participated in the previous instalments, has been, together with FLML, the most collaborative artist in this project, is missing. We should bear in mind that the first volume of 'Tracks From The Alley' was a split album between both projects. On the other hand, this new 4-track mini-compilation features the Greek DJ/producer DimDj, the Italian producer based in Berlin and part of Sons Of Traders, TANS, the Brazilian based in Portugal and owner of the Unrealistic Expectations label Nothing Was There, and the FLML brothers, owners of ALLEY VERSION.

Nothing Was There is Edvan Marques Ferreira, aka MVQX. The project was born to be the output of all his live-cassette recordings and that's the case of the track 'The Owl (House Slaughter)', a raw combo of jackin beats and industrial music, recorded with two machines and a delay pedal directly into a cassette tape.

Strap yourselves up for a raw and gritty ride with the mysterious FOG MAN, whose 'Fog Face' shows the more leftfield and raw side of the electro universe. 

Arvid Wretman conjures up the gritty underbelly of an over-populated megalopolis; a world of dilapidation, ruin and
sin, where stiletto knives are a dime a dozen and our titular protagonist, the FOG MAN stalks the streets.

The next premiere for @DarkScienceElectro comes to us from an artist that needs no introduction unless you've been living under a rock for the last 10 years.

@The-Exaltics hail from Germany and have been consistently putting out quality Electro/Techno since 2007. Following the success of their recent 'Das Heise Experiment' LP, The Exaltics lend their power to the Italian label @FU-ME-Rec - For this various artist compilation they bring on Faceless Mind (@asa0asd90i4rfdas), @Umwelt-music, The Exaltics and label curator @DJ_Vietnam featuring @tha_haterparisi - The track selected to premiere for @DarkScienceElectro is the Exaltics track entitled 'Parallel Worlds'. This track stood out to me with it's gorgeous melody driven mostly by use of sweeping pad synths and a throbbing bass line that is reminiscent of The Exaltics work with Gerald Donald on the aforementioned 'Das Heise Experiment' project (https://soundcloud.com/the-exaltics/soundcloud)- I must admit that all of the tracks on this release are worth the coin. The vinyl will be released at the end of November.
