DJ MAGGIE brings you this "Fizziology" titled DJ set about which she says: "The majority of this mix was recorded live as an opening set for Moontribe's New Year's Day Vibe 2024 in Los Angeles. Since I ended that set with unreleased music, I trimmed the last two tracks and added two tracks to the beginning in the studio. Some new music mixed with some classic favorites!" DJ Maggie carefully curates the best of downtempo electronic into lush, playful and deeply replenishing sets that invite listeners on shimmering audio odysseys. Evolving her own brand of intuitive sound at the legendary Southern California desert gatherings of the groundbreaking Moontribe Collective, Maggie has played for a wide range of events, from festivals like Ozora and Astronox, to intimate yoga retreats and desert campouts. In 2021, she launched her own imprint, Over the Moon Music, to further cement her role as an avid advocate for the downbeat, and has released music from notable luminaries such as Bluetech, Kaya Project, Erothyme, Encounters, and Wolf Tech.

Liquid Bloom Dj Set @ Ozora Hungary 2023

It’s worth the long wait, especially when it comes to Ambient, don’t rush it - it’s not fast food music. Here at Sofa Beats we love it slowly cooked and that’s what Christian Samsara gave us. Beside being a good friend he is a Danish-born DJ and avid records collector, embarked on his journey into electronic music during his early teenage years. It was during this time that he stumbled upon the ambient genre, which swiftly blossomed into his profound passion and eventually led him behind the decks.
Throughout the course of his DJ career, Christian has graced numerous festivals and events worldwide. Additionally, he has curated countless mixes for well-known podcast channels and shows such as Inveins, Campfire Stories by Silent Season, 꿈 Kkum, Orb Magazine, just to name a few, revealing his expertise in ambient, downtempo, IDM, and deep techno. His mixes are characterized by a unique blend of abstract cinematic soundscapes and intricate layers of organic textures.
In 2015, Christian Samsara became a part of Ultimae Records, his first compilation, "Isolated," was released in 2022 and he currently works on a second chapter to be released in 2024.

We all dreamt or wished to explore imaginary & far away grounds, between no man’s lands and intangible panoramas. Border 50 is a hymn to this laid-off concept, when frontiers and delineations dissipate to a wilder breadth, where, as Baudelaire would say, "Everything is beauty, luxury, calm and intense pleasure ».

Swiss-born artist Moreno Antognini aka Master Margherita treats us to a mystical and meditative album driven by low-end quiet pulses, swaddling guitar basslines, dense granular pads, giving a powerful homage to a certain definition of Doom Jazz, Stoner Rock and Nordic Ambient with influences from Pink Floyd, Miles Davis, Bill Laswell or Biosphere’s works.

Carefully crafted over the course of two years, this « Border 50 » album stands apart, a return to the source for the artist, hallmark of Master Margherita’s irrefutable multi-instrumentist and storyteller talent.
