From his early days at remote desert gatherings, to his constant touring of clubs and music festivals with world renowned downtempo sensation Desert Dwellers, his career has traversed many musical styles and genres. Blending world music with cutting-edge sound design, Amani Friend has amassed an enormous catalog between his projects Desert Dwellers, Liquid Bloom, and Variant Field. Traveling the international festival circuit and staying on the road with a jam-packed schedule, AMANI continues to bring his alchemy of ancient-future psychedelia to dance floors around the globe. Equally adept at sonically fueling the spirit of large yoga classes or high-energy dance floors, Amani’s sonic offerings provide a journey into the imaginative realms of movement and sound.

Erased Tapes and Kranky are pleased to announce the release of A Winged Victory for the Sullen's 'ATOMOS VII'. April 28 sees the first installment leading up to the release of the second full length studio album 'ATOMOS', and score for choreographer Wayne McGregor's long form dance piece. 

McGregor was heavily influenced by the duo's 2011 self-titled debut, playing it repeatedly during practices with his core group of dancers. After noticing the group's reaction with the music, he contacted Adam & Dustin to see if they could write the score for his new oeuvre. 

The duo recorded more than sixty minutes of music over a four month period during the summer of 2013 in Brussels, Berlin and Reykjavik with the help of their longtime collaborative sound engineer Francesco Donadello. This EP also sees the involvement of Ben Frost, who composed the music for McGregor's previous work 'Far'.

McGregor, mastermind behind the Random Dance Company and resident choreographer at the Royal Ballet since 2006, is known in popular culture circles for serving as movement director for the film 'Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire'. He has also choreographed the Radiohead video 'Lotus Flower' and 'Ingenue' by Atoms for Peace.

We were planning for the B-side to be a metamorphosis of part VII, and Ben seemed the obvious choice. With the multi-tracks transformed, it follows a trajectory that we had not felt comfortable with before. "Au Revoir, my latest Cinematic-Electronic composition, follows an uplifting, emotionally driven soundscape through out the piece. I wanted Au Revoir to contain two distinct environments in the record; one of which is easy to connect to the central theme, while the other being more open to individual interpretation on a larger scale. As the track progresses, I focused on creating a strong degree of contrast through out the arrangement, as to heighten the level of tension between the two worlds which coincide. I hope that while listening to Au Revoir, you can truly feel what I envisioned for this piece, and thank you for taking the time to listen.

Thank you for shooting such images to remind us to care on our beautiful Nature, Earth, Wild Animals...

Welcome to listen to this new music I composed last 26th of February to make us feel peaceful and travel with wolves to Asian Steppes. You can meditate on it with closed eyes, relaxed body, breathing deelply with good headphones. This music vibrates of several of my Tibetan Bowls, Cristal Bowl in F (Heart Chakra) and 3 tuning forks (32 Hz, 64 Hz, 128 Hz).
