February 2022 Discoveries.

Many people simply want to hear and enjoy some great new music without having to waste time searching for hours. These Musical Discoveries collections aim to fulfil those needs. At least, we hope so! :)

This playlist is a compilation of the favourite musical discoveries of the Wud Records team from everything they heard at SoundCloud during February 2022.

Tracks have been arranged according to the number of plays at the precise moment of publishing, starting with the fewest. Tracks that are early in playlists tend to receive more plays than later tracks, and we feel that the ones with fewer plays need the best chance of exposure.

This playlist is extremely eclectic, so if the track you are playing isn't quite doing it for you, try the next one. It will probably be completely different.

If you enjoyed listening to something here, please give it a like and a repost. Follow the artist. Give them a shoutout on social media. Check out some of their other tracks. Buy something from them and your support will help them to keep going. Doing any of this will help raise their profile. At the very least you might make their day. :)

Sharing is very, very important !!

Sharing is a massive help for independent artists. They don’t have big corporations and mainstream media saturating every channel with their product. Every independent share counts.

Giving something a ‘like’ is nice, but sharing exposes the artist to your followers. This means that anybody in your community can see and click on what you shared. They can potentially enjoy it as well. It enables somebody new to discover the artist and become their newest fan. You create the chance for that to happen.

Blue Sky Clarity

START 33 1/3 Too Soon was their self produced/distributed EP through their own label GO NOW records. Doing their own promotion they were able get on over a 150 college radio stations top 10, reporting medium to heavy airplay -- 8000 units sold independently. It has been re-mastered with 2 un-released songs

Lost Coast Part 2

Andes Haze is a psychedelic rock instrumental that explores the sounds of Andean folklore. Using the Charango, synths, and with the help of guest musicians Felipe Saalfeld (Guitar) and Pat Dalton (Drums), I tried to evoke the experience of awe that the Andes mountain range produces on people.

Solar Phasing is a French composer and sound designer specializing in ambient, experimental electronic, and modular synthesis. His music is crafted for immersive experiences across TV, documentaries, video games, and art installations, offering listeners a journey through sonic landscapes that are both meditative and exploratory.

Space, introspection, emotional resonance, slow-evolving textures, minimalistic rhythms, and atmospheric depth.  Rich in modular synthesis, tuned frequencies (notably 432 Hz), and sonic experimentation.

His style is eclectic but always rooted in sound design and emotional resonance. If you're into artists like Brian Eno, Steve Roach, Boards of Canada, or early Aphex Twin, you might find Solar Phasing’s work intriguing..
