Solarsteinn is a one-man Italian Viking Metal band formed in 2013. In August 2013 is recorded "The Challenge of Thor," a 18-minute suite inspired by Norse Ballads of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.

2006

• September/October: birth of the band, first line-up completion (trio)

2007

• September: the first EP "Nightmares Of Forgotten Worlds" is released
• December: split up from Federico Chiarofonte, Giulio Tomasi joins the band as new drummer

2008

• May: Mauro Renzetti leaves the band
• October: Fabrizio D’Ambrosio and David join the band as guitarists, passage from trio to quartet
• December: the second EP " New Nightmares Of Forgotten Worlds" is released
• Participation in the compilation “Kill City Vol. 13 – Cradle To The Grave” produced by the American label 272 Records
• “New Nightmares Of Forgotten Worlds is spread on Radio France thanks to the partnership with the French mailorder "Oriffs"

2009

• January: split up from Fabrizio D’Ambrosio, Mathias Habib joins the band as new guitarist
• October: split up from Mathias Habib, Luca Deias joins the band as new guitarist

2010

• March: Teatro Dell’Applauso gig recordings;  "Frozen Dreams", "Mind Shadows" and the homonymous "Blackosphere" are excerpted from this recording session
• November: Luca Deias leaves the band, making way for Daniele Finetto

2012

• November: Giulio Tomasi and Daniele Finetto leave the band

2014

• September: line-up revolution carried out by the drum machine employment and officialising Nunzio Arletti as new guitarist and third band member (return to trio)

2015

• March:  the third EP “Demo 2015”is released
• October: David Colognesi and Nunzio Arletti leave the band
