It’s been a minute since Solarstone’s last album. (Actually, it’s been several million of them, as ‘island’ was released five years ago!). In that time life’s given us all plenty to ponder, and Rich Solarstone’s no exception to that. At a point in time where everything is supposed to streamline, Solarstone’s experience might better be described as ‘mainline’. He became a husband, a father again and watched his firstborn come of age. A lot of new perspectives are naturally going to follow that. No stranger to pouring his creative force, thoughts and feelings into his music, that reaches an apex this month with the release of his ninth album. 

Make no mistake … this one’s coming from deep within.

"“Good music demands that you push yourself, and the best of it also forces you to take risks … ” says Rich Mowatt, “and I’m more than aware that ‘innermost’ inherently carries some of the latter. 
In its native form, this is not a club album, but then I didn’t see 2020’s‘ island’ as one either. I believe that area is better addressed by my singles ‘(Shards’, ‘Hope’, ‘Sovereign’ ,‘Thinking Of You’, and so forth), and the Pure Trance albums” (three editions of which have been released since 2020).  That leaves latter-day Solarstone artist albums more open to explore …to range, so the clubbier tracks that do exist on ‘innermost’ are woven into a broader sonic texture.”
I feel that tough is good”, he continues. “Hard … is good. It never, ever seems like it when you are in the middle of it, but without going through those, life’s highest highs can’t be felt to their fullest. At its core that’s what ‘innermost’ is about. It’s certainly my most honest longplayer to date, as well as my most polished. It took five years to make so there’s no excuses for it not to be!”, he jokes.

In 2021, GRAMMY-nominated dance trio Above & Beyond celebrate the 10th anniversary of their critically-acclaimed second studio album, ‘Group Therapy.’ To mark the occasion, an eclectic selection of acts have taken on the challenge of remixing ten iconic tracks from the 2011 album. This cross-genre remix compilation includes an energetic trance rework from ilan Bluestone, a breakbeat remix from Anjunadeep favorite CRi, and stunning house and techno reworks from Kasablanca and Manila Killa who join the Anjunafamily for the first time. Also included on the compilation are two fan-favourite remixes released in 2021 from Oliver Heldens and Spencer Brown, as well as melodic house selections from the likes of Braxton, Shai T, Khen, and Newman (I Love), all lifted from the recent Beatport #1 compilation, '20 Years of Anjunabeats: The Deep Mixes’.

Alongside this digital remix album, Anjunabeats is releasing a limited-edition ’10 Years of Group Therapy: The Singles Collection’ vinyl box set, which sees six iconic singles from the album released on vinyl for the first time: ‘Sun & Moon’ feat. Richard Bedford, ’Thing Called Love’ feat. Richard Bedford, ‘Love Is Not Enough’ feat. Zoë Johnston, ‘On My Way To Heaven’ feat. Richard Bedford, ‘Sun In Your Eyes,’ and ‘Prelude’ are included in the box, alongside B-side remixes from ilan Bluestone, Oliver Heldens, Hybrid Minds, Seven Lions, and GRAMMY award-winning producer William Orbit. The vinyl box set also includes a special ‘10 Years of Group Therapy’ slipmat as well as 12”x12” matte-finish prints of each single artwork. This box set is a limited, hand-numbered edition and is expected to ship in summer of 2022. Pre-orders are available now at the Anjuna Music Store. Every box set comes with a digital download of the original album and all remixes on the ‘10 Years of Group Therapy’ digital compilation.

‘10 Years of Group Therapy’ part one is a two-disc digital album available worldwide on 17 December. Part two will arrive in the summer of 2022, with an exciting tracklist of remixers yet to be announced.

Rudosa has been making impressions in the techno scene for over a decade by releasing an intelligent, yet driving strain of music on the likes of Intec, Second State and We Are The Brave. With the lead track of this first release being supported heavily by the likes of Amelie Lens, Richie Hawtin and Pan-Pot to name a few, starting his own label came as the natural next step for this well-honed sound smith.

‘Obsolescence’, a superb seven-minute cut with cosmic lead synths and hammering drums that drive you late into the night, with its intensity it’s designed for main rooms. Then ‘Isolation’ which is an all-out assault with more driving drum programming and edgy synths that keep you in suspense with a slick trance element, clever effects, fills and breakdowns that make this a real rollercoaster.
