GuRzUnZ were formed by Mick Clack and Dale Marshall as tribute to their friend, the late great Michael Gerzon (1945-1996) The Audio industry lost a major contributor to the future of audio recording and reproduction when Michael passed away. His 121 published papers cover a wide variety of subjects - most, but not all, concerned with audio - and his contribution to the art and science of recording and reproduction is major and truly innovative. 
A warm, generous man with a great passion for improvised music. 

To mark the tenth anniversary of his death in April 2006, the much awaited biography of Michael Gerzon's life was published. 

Written by Robert Charles Alexander and entitled 'Michael Gerzon - Beyond Psychoacoustics' (ISBN 0-9748438-2-2) it defines the nature of a man whose true greatness, influence and achievements may well not be fully recognized until well into the 21st Century.
