This mellow year has been a blast. So many beautiful artists made their ways into our little family, and these two cutie pies make this season complete. ✨

Maka & El Batos just belong and fit together — contrasts in harmony. Like Shadow & Light, good & evil, ecstasy & meditation. They met at a certain time in Hanover and through the love for slow affairs and visions for events a soon a friendship was born. :)

Thank you so much for this 3-hour ride, Marcel & Jorma. We are more than happy to have you two on board for this special episode.  ♥

📀 Auf ein Wiedersehen mit guten Freunden 📀

✍️ Wahre Freundschaft kennt weder Zeit noch Raum. Sie lebt in den entsprechenden Individuen unabhängig von äußeren Umständen und Bedingungen. Zusätzlich ist räumliche Distanz in unseren digitalen Zeiten nur eine Frage der Mittel und Möglichkeiten. Durch das Internet kann in Echtzeit kommuniziert werden und der andere ist quasi nur ein Fingertippen oder Mausklick entfernt. 
Im Laufe des Erwachsenwerdens durchläuft und unterliegt jeder von uns vielen Veränderungen. Ein Wechsel des Wohnortes, Auslandsaufenthalte oder auch das kommen und gehen von Familienmitgliedern und Freunden sind nur einige Beispiele dafür. Manche dieser neuen Gegebenheiten mögen uns Missfallen. Doch das Festhalten an vergangenen Zuständen bringt niemanden weiter. Die Kunst ist mal wieder das beste draus machen. Menschen welche uns wichtig sind, verlassen (zumeist) nicht so ohne weiteres unser Leben. Es liegt an jedem Einzelnen seine Beziehungen zu hegen und zu pflegen. In 2023 gilt mehr denn je, wo ein Wille da auch ein Weg. Wahrer Freundschaft ist keiner zu lang oder zu weit …

🎵 Der Podcast von stelzenlaeufer verströmt eine durch und durch magische Wirkung. Die ausgewählten Donwsnappy Exemplare entfalten unweigerlich einen tranceartige Gemütszustand. After a short trip to snowy and cosy Stuttgart to picao, the desire for sun and sea has grabbed us... . 

So today we welcome you from Florida's pearl Miami. There, of course, we had to meet Adrian aka Magician On Duty. A talented artist and manager who also brought attention to our scene in Europe with his original podcast series of the same name (https://soundcloud.com/magicianonduty/sets/journey-series). At least for all those who like organic deep house. In the course of time, Magician On Duty developed further into a label with releases by, for example, https://soundcloud.com/thomas-gaarthuis, https://soundcloud.com/david-hasert and many more. Here, too, the original spirit is preserved.

When we heard the mix for the first time a few days ago, we were a little surprised and speechless at first. Downtempo? Adrian? Basically, we had expected something else, namely his signature sound: Organic Deep House. But the first impression was deceptive. After just a few minutes, he increased the tempo to his usual level. 

His set is an exciting 'afterhours' journey into the thicket of melodic and hypnotic electronic music. In over three hours of music, he has packed in pretty much everything he has in the way of tools and hidden gems to make this mix a special one. Enriched with instrumental and vocal passages like the classic "I can't get no sleep" by Faithless, he even gives the recording a feeling of being at home and nostalgia. Alongside all the positivity, however, he doesn't forget to implement a fair amount of depth into his set. Thus, he daringly but skilfully keeps the balance between lightness and ecstasy. All in all, the mix has become an absolute cream puff, which we definitely don't want to miss anymore: Namely timeless, individual and with a lot of love for detail.

If afterhour sounds, then here. Although, the mix really does suit any time of day or night.

Besides the mix, we didn't miss the chance to ask Adrian a few questions that we don't want to withhold from you.

Q: What are your musical influences? What is your musical background?

A: I liked music since I was a child, it was sort of my refuge... listening to tapes from Michael Jackson, Depeche Mode, Queen and more. I guess I got more exposed to music, in general, while I was breakdancing with my friends. We were listening and training on funk, jazz and hip hop.

Q: What makes a good "afterhour"?

A: The soundtrack to an early morning party can be incredibly powerful, helping to create an atmosphere of excitement and energy. Whether it's downtempo or something more energy driven, the music can help to set the tone for the party and create a sense of unity among those in attendance. 

What makes it good? The ability to connect with everyone around you. That feeling when you look around and everyone is on the same frequency. If we are connected, we are all on the same journey. 

Q: Do you have any thoughts you would like to share about your set?

I think this is one of my favorite sets that I have recorded, as it has all the ingredients necessary to facilitate a fantastic journey. There are so many ways that you can approach an afterhour set, I don't think there is a certain formula or format that you should use, I think the artist has the freedom to pursue any mood or genre as long as It creates a connection between people.

Sit back and relax! Because a journey awaits you that is made for an afterhour.

1. Du hast gerade einige Zeit in Australien verbracht. Was magst du an dem Land besonders gern und warum?

💫 Australien ist nicht nur wunderschön sondern vor allem wahnsinnig freundlich. Die aufrichtige Warmherzigkeit der Menschen im täglichen Umgang tut gut! Ausserdem ist es soweit weg von allem, das es sich hier bisschen anfühlt wir „Urlaub von der Welt“. Das ist, zumindest für eine gewisse Zeit, sehr erholsam. 

2. Wenn du in der Zeit zurückreisen könntest, in welches Jahrzehnt oder welche Ära würdest du reisen und warum?

💫 Definitiv in die 60/70er wegen den Unmengen an guter Musik die in der Zeit enstand! Oder auch gerne in die 20er für den guten Style und literweise Absinth.

3. Wenn du bei einer Veranstaltung weltweit auftreten könntest, welche wäre es und warum?

💫 Universo Paralello in Brasilien reizt mich sehr! Da ist einfach ein starkes Bauchgefühl das ich mich dort sehr wohlfühlen würde und meine Musik dort gut hinpasst. Shout out to Brazil!

1. A person being possessed by the sun and its powers and qualities.
2. An electronic music artist from Berlin.

Growing up in a small town near Berlin, little Solatic was known as Luca. He always felt drawn towards the sun as a symbol: warm and bright, like his personality. Along with that, he felt a close connection to music throughout his life. But listening just wasn’t enough: he wanted to make his own.

After moving to Berlin in 2014 and a few tries with the classic teen garage bands, a whole new world welcomed him in its colorful and comforting ways: the Berlin club scene was just what Luca needed.

In awe of the diversity, the loving and open community and the capturing beats, it felt like the perfect place for him. Getting inspired by artists like Iorie and Monolink, Luca found a way to express himself using his voice and instruments and started his electronic music project in 2018.

Thus, Solatic was born. Since then, he keeps creating tracks that are melodic, dreamy and multi-faceted. Just like himself, they can be playful and energetic, but also calming and mindful.
