Frankie Feliciano Live @ Dance Ritual NYC | February 9th 2000 - Part 1 of 2

Initially this was supposed to come out on the HOUSE MASTERS FRANKIE KNUCKLES Compilation on Defected.
To make a long story short... it never did, I was given the blessing from Judy Weinstein (Def Mix Productions Founder) along with Hector Romero to do as I please with this version.
I did this with my keyboardist Erik Deutsch the day after I attended Frankie Knuckles funeral because I felt like I needed to do something not just in his honor but to continue to raise awareness of who this ICON is and undoubtedly none of us house heads should ever forget.
The whistle song is what introduced me to his music so it was only right that I created a version that captured the soul & beauty of the original BUT I wanted to give it more of a BALLAD feel, a version WE CAN ALL USE to close out a great party in his honor when we have them or simply to just hear at your restaurant, lounge, chill/comfort zone.

So ENJOY THIS FREE DOWNLOAD and please play it when and where ever you can no matter where you are.

In 1998 I (While working for MAW) had the opportunity to go to many events with the legendary duo and record their sessions, this was one of them.
While cleaning out my studio I stumbled upon a MASSIVE Timberland Boot Shoe Box of Cassettes and DAT's that I thought I lost.
This 2 Part DAT was found along with a slew of other legendary events that I will transfer to digital from Cassette, Min-Disc & DAT.

In This Mix LOUIE VEGA IS DJING USING VINYL, NO PIONEER CDJ'S OR USB STICKS -- ALL VINYL!!!!

This Mix is about 2 hours long and does not have a playlist, I know 98% of the songs But I took the liberty to transfer this for all of you and honestly I didn't have time to make up  the playlist plus IF YOUR A REAL HOUSE MUSIC HEAD YOU SHOULD KNOW ALL OF THE MUSIC LOUIE VEGA IS PLAYING IN THIS MIX, If your a newbie than enjoy your homework.
