Solid Grooves favourite Blackchild is the next to land on Hot Creations with the Groove Dealer EP. The three track release serves up heavy-duty club rollers, moulding Blackchild’s early influences with a contemporary flare. 

Title track Groove Dealer kicks off proceedings with a heavy sub-bass and chopy hats as melodic brass tones add the key ingredient. Siempre is next up, following suit with elevating brass notes, punchy percussion and dreamy synths. Rounding off the EP, Inmydreams is a deep and dark cut built for the late night hours, ignited by the blissful and hypnotic vocals. Blackchild reveals that "this upcoming EP on Hot Creations represents exactly what my sound is. The inspiration for these tracks come from all the old Jazz and Motown records I used to listen to growing up, with a modern Blackchild touch." 

Originally from a small island in the gulf of Naples called Ischia, Blackchild is the artist name for Italian artist Gennaro Filisdeo. Heavily influenced by his father‘s record collection, he grew up listening to Hip-Hop, RnB, Disco and old school House music. He began to produce at the age of eighteen, but it was in 2019 that Blackchild joined the Solid Grooves roster, which led him to play at statement venues and festivals such as Printworks London, Auditorium Torremolinos Malaga and ADE Festival. 2020 saw chart success with his track Sexy Thing going straight to #2 in the Beatport Top 10 Tech House Chart and #5 in the Overall Top 10 Chart. 2021 looks set to continue in the same direction with a busy release schedule on the way.

Label favourite Eddy M returns to Solid Grooves with latest single 'Really Really Hot'.

One of the favourites for many amongst the Solid Grooves family, Eddy M is a name that always features as one of the most-loved talents in the scene. With his blend of slick, crisp beats fused with samples and influences from hip-hop through to disco, the Italian's unique style has seen him build on early hype and continue to deliver huge peak-time anthems. That talent is on show again here as he returns to Solid Grooves with 'Really Really Hot' to close
out 2021.

Laying down sharp percussion and sweeping synths, 'Really Really Hot' builds amongst hooky vocal samples and vibrant bass licks to showcase yet another trademark production from Italian as he rounds out 2021 in style.

With their Ibiza residency at DC10 Ibiza proving to be one of the stand-out series of the summer, it's safe to say Solid Grooves are making 2022 a year to remember as they also celebrate 10 years with a wealth of huge shows across the globe. Showing no signs of slowing when it comes to dropping impactful records across both labels, late-September welcomes the arrival of a big debut collaboration between UK talent Ben Sterling and Argentinian Bodeler as the pair combine for their first appearance on Solid Grooves with 'Uno Dos Tres'.

Fusing rolling organic percussion with playful vocal samples, snaking basslines and crisp hi-hats, 'Uno Dos Tres' delivers an impactful stripped back cut from the duo as they unveil a production perfect for the main room and the afters.

Argentina's Bodeler makes his solo debut on Solid Grooves with his latest single, 'Gem'.

An eclectic talent whose productions usually span the more minimal-leaning end of the house spectrum, Argentinian-born DJ/producer Bodeler has built a wealth of global fans with his stripped-back and groove-heavy sound. Having released out on the label alongside Planet X boss Ben Sterling for their collaboration 'Unos, Dos Tres' in late 2022, he steps out solo on Solid Grooves for the first time with his latest single, 'Gem'.

Combining bumping bass licks and crisp drum shots formed around a provocative and playful female vocal, the bubbly 'Gem' is a bright, slinking track and a record that's been a constant across the Grooves Motel at DC10 in Ibiza this summer.

Solid Grooves serve up a five-track sampler featuring label founders PAWSA and Michael Bibi alongside label favourites ONNO, Reelow and Dennis Cruz.

Launching in September last year, Solid Grooves Records has been on an upwards trajectory ever since. The London and Ibiza brand are now about to kick-start their weekly Ibiza event series every Thursday at Vista Club where their core artists will share the decks with special guests throughout the summer. In light of this the founders have curated five tracks from some of their core roster that’s illustrative of the Solid Grooves musical aesthetic.

First up, Dennis Cruz ‘Fever’ is a rumbling track boasting echoing percussion and a heady spoken word sample. Michael Bibi then drops a moody number teeming with syncopated rhythms and chopped vocals before ONNO unleashes a cavernous cut named ‘Body Shake’ that’s geared for the peaktime. Next, PAWSA ‘Luster’ is a bass fuelled roller that takes no prisoners until Reelow concludes the package with the intricate ‘Shaolin Slap’.
