Solid Grooves favourite Blackchild is the next to land on Hot Creations with the Groove Dealer EP. The three track release serves up heavy-duty club rollers, moulding Blackchild’s early influences with a contemporary flare. 

Title track Groove Dealer kicks off proceedings with a heavy sub-bass and chopy hats as melodic brass tones add the key ingredient. Siempre is next up, following suit with elevating brass notes, punchy percussion and dreamy synths. Rounding off the EP, Inmydreams is a deep and dark cut built for the late night hours, ignited by the blissful and hypnotic vocals. Blackchild reveals that "this upcoming EP on Hot Creations represents exactly what my sound is. The inspiration for these tracks come from all the old Jazz and Motown records I used to listen to growing up, with a modern Blackchild touch." 

Originally from a small island in the gulf of Naples called Ischia, Blackchild is the artist name for Italian artist Gennaro Filisdeo. Heavily influenced by his father‘s record collection, he grew up listening to Hip-Hop, RnB, Disco and old school House music. He began to produce at the age of eighteen, but it was in 2019 that Blackchild joined the Solid Grooves roster, which led him to play at statement venues and festivals such as Printworks London, Auditorium Torremolinos Malaga and ADE Festival. 2020 saw chart success with his track Sexy Thing going straight to #2 in the Beatport Top 10 Tech House Chart and #5 in the Overall Top 10 Chart. 2021 looks set to continue in the same direction with a busy release schedule on the way.

Italian talent Blackchild (ITA) is on a roll right now, having released material via a host of top tier labels alongside Solid Grooves and his own LATEMORNING imprint over a huge summer for the rising prospect.

Fresh from his recent outing on the label's 2021 Summer Sampler, mid-October sees yet more dancefloor ammunition readied as he shows no sign of slowing down via 'Keep The Secret' on his return to Solid Grooves. Combining hazy low-ends, snaking synths, rumbling sub-bass and skittering drums beneath resonant vocal interjections, expect 'Keep The Secret' to feature heavily in sets across the months ahead.

Solid Grooves unveil their 2022 'Ibiza Sampler' as Michael Bibi and PAWSA invite seven of the label's residents and regulars for a huge summer offering.

2022 is shaping up to be a year to remember for Solid Grooves as they celebrate ten years in style with a host of stand-out shows, including OFF Sonar and Kappa Futur, alongside recent appearances at Space Miami, Fabric and Printworks.

However, the crown jewel in the programming undeniably comes via their biggest Ibiza season to date. With a move to renowned institution DC10 backed by lineups stacked full of talent, the collective only adds to things on the label front as they reveal their latest summer compilation. Opening the season in style, the nine-track 'Ibiza Sampler' welcomes the arrival of a stacked V/A with fresh heat from close friends and ever-impressing regulars.

In usual fashion, co-founders Michael Bibi and PAWSA contribute a pair of heavily-requested signature cuts, alongside peak-time and after-hours anthems from residents Dennis Cruz, Eddy M, Reelow, Ramin Rezaie and Bassel Darwish, plus label signees Classmatic and JUST2.

Delivering his first single on the label in five years, following a series of outings on the label's annual VA series, the Solid Grooves favourite makes his long-awaited return on 22nd March 2024, building on releases via Crosstown Rebels and his own CRZ and MÜSE imprints.

When it comes to the global house and techno landscape, very few individuals had a busier 2023 than Spanish DJ/producer and label boss Dennis Cruz. Following on from an action-packed twelve months, with highlights ranging from his Coachella debut through to regular appearances at the likes of Club Space (Miami), Hï (Ibiza) and fabric (London), coupled with a vital role at the helm of Solid Grooves' lauded DC10 Casino Motel residency alongside label co-founder PAWSA, the label favourite is back on Solid Grooves Records with his first standalone single on the label since 2019 - showcasing his trademark, groove-driven sound in full with his latest offering, 'Bonito'.

Drenched in Latin and Salsa flavours and sonics, with vibrant brass melodies ebbing and flowing amongst playful and hooky vocal interludes, all layered above signature crisp and rolling drums, 'Bonito' is a perfect example of Cruz's impeccable house sound and welcomes the arrival of a heavily-requested ID from his sets on a fitting return to his 'home away from home', Solid Grooves.
