Solid Grooves, the record label, was launched in 1995 by the same-named Music Store (owned by Brandon Yee and Harry Who?) and Lucas Rodenbush (now known to many as E.B.E.), kicking things off with E.B.E. Audio - The Energy E.P. as a first release. Soon to follow was a stream of success for the label and its artists. In 1997, Solid Grooves began to receive a considerable amount of ink and became confused by some writers and DJs with Aubrey's UK-based label Solid Groove. To preserve the integrity of its developing catalog and international repoire, the label's name was changed to Solid Trax, after the well-received 1996 house release by Lucas Rodenbush, Solid Trax Vol. 1. Since then, Solid Trax has presented a series of releases by E.B.E., Joshua of Circulation fame, Mattski of Cocaine Recordings, The Rhythmist of successful netlabel Dobox and has recently welcomed to the roster Kit Clayton of Cytrax, Chris Jackson of Resource Records and Jump Recordings, Dabecy of Dreams Without Number, Arturo Garces of Beatbum Music, and Alonso Ordoñez of Audio Abuse. Also contributing to some of this work have been record store afficionados Mark Johns (a Solid Grooves buyer) and Mark Camp. After disbanding from the merchant establishment following its change of ownership in 2005, Solid Trax has found a new home online. Soon to come are a number of releases from some of House and Techno music's finest talents. Stay tuned!
