Next one on Pro B and we welcome Kamilo Sanclemente back to us with open arms. This time however we are lucky to have him with his fantastic work on a new original Believe.

As we all know & expect from Kamilo we have an outstanding production, Kamilo brings us a solid 4/4 with beautiful pads and melody throughout, This is a proper Progressive Gem and sure to land well.

Then we follow up with two remixes, the first coming from another legend in the making NOIYSE Project.

This is the first outing from a production perspective from NOIYSE on Pro B, and we hope not to be the last. What is brought to you here is a no-nonsense dance floor destroyer, This comes with all those recognizable elements that you get from NOIYSE whilst keeping a lot from the original throughout, This is a big proper driving beast. 

And finally, to close out we welcome back Micke who joins forces with our Bossman Brent Lawson, what the guys bring you here is a different direction, elements of Breaks and a 4/4 built-in, which moves along smoothly, you are then hit with an epic build-up, breaks, melody and pad driven before the 4/4 hits you once more. Beginning the new year with a powerful bang, Proportion starts 2023 with an EP from label head, Dmitry Molosh as he introduces his “Shining / Watercolor” EP.

A leading figure in the underground dance scene and progressive house fraternity, Dmitry Molosh has seen a stratospheric rise to prominence over a stellar career that dates back more than a decade. Since a 2011 debut on You So Fat Records, over 600 production credits have found their way onto the finest independent dance labels as the Belarusian has seen his distinctive blend of mesmerising rhythms and unforgettable melodies create energy and emotion across global dancefloors. Work signed to Cid Inc.’s Replug, Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat Music and Guy Mantzur’s Plattenbank have lit up clubs along with a host of music for the likes of Proton Music, Deepwibe Underground and the iconic Afterglow Records.

With such an impressive portfolio on a plethora of prominent imprints, it is no surprise to see Dmitry’s music omnipresent in the sets of leading DJs with support coming from such respected figures as Nick Warren, Guy J, Khen, Eric Prydz and Max Graham. The result is an artist whose work transcends the borders of his homeland with a global reach and iconic status.

Returning to Proportion after January 2022’s eponymous debut and May’s “Small Wonders” with Dutch master, Navar, Dmitry Molosh opens 2023 with the spellbinding “Shining”. Redolent in trademark rhythmic vibrancy, a rolling percussive groove and syncopated bassline provide the perfect foundation for a delicious combination of melodic elements to combine in sparkling fashion. Textured pads, delicate arpeggios and delay-infused lead blend together to create a magical sonic picture. Emotion is aroused by sublime key changes plus spine-tingling and white-noise infused breakdown that provides a perfect pause for breath before dropping back into the rhythmic intricacy and melodic dynamism that waxes and wanes with ease.

Powered by a chest-thumping kick and ticking offbeat hi-hats, “Watercolour” paints a spectacular picture with foundations built upon an imaginative bassline sequence and bright synth counterpoint. Gradually opening up with filtered energy and pitched dual-oscillator brio at the breakdown, its ever-present characteristic sees a track rich in texture with a fiery club-friendly vibe that will appeal to the worldwide DJ elite.

A new artist to the Particles roster, Amir Telem's music is not defined by genres, instead placing an emphasis on a "deep sense of connectivity to something higher". This approach has seen his work signed to a host of impressive imprints including UV Noir, Timeless Moment and Everything Will Be OK. His Particles debut opens with the title track as the popping percussive cadence provides the opportunity for a shimmering arpeggio and deep sustained bassline to shine on "Sweet Longing". A beautiful piano sequence adds to the melodic collage in emotive fashion before a brassy synth makes its play. Extending the melodic phrasing post-breakdown, a fizzing vibrant energy characterises the impressive piece.

An artist with a bold and growing reputation, BLANCAh continues to dazzle from her home in Florianópolis. Through her own Hiato Music and a wealth of tracks featuring on Timeless Moment, Sprout and 2020's full-length "Arias of Sky" for Renaissance", the Brazilian has flourished. A single remix for Petar Dundov marked BLANCAh's Proton Music debut as she joins Particles with a suitably powerful offering. Reworking "Sweet Longing", the BLANCAh rework creates a driving dancefloor groove with a syncopated bassline and fizzing top-line. Building in intensity, the melodic themes of the original are innovatively retained while extended outward in glorious new direction creating an elegant new remix.

Mariner + Domingo require little introduction; both excelling at their chosen artform. Renowned DJ's and producers, the pair have a rich history between them. Almost a double century of production credits bear witness to that fact as the US duo have seen their work feature on the likes of Sound Avenue, Balkan Connection and The Purr. Regulars on Particles, March 2021's "Azimuth" was followed by "Lose Control" two months later. Further bookended by remixes for Izzet and Petar Dundov, the pair now return with a typically deep and evocative remix of "Sweet Longing". Making strong use of the melancholic sustained bassline of the original, Mariner + Domingo have created a slightly more stripped back affair that revels in a deep atmosphere and sonic landscape. Making excellent use of Amir Telem's remix parts, an exquisite new chord progression is added to the production arrangement to create a sumptuous dancefloor gem.

Originally released at the end of 2022, “EXT 135 / Elemental / Time to Space” showcased GMJ & Matter as masters of the progressive house genre. Now, Meanwhile revisits the 3-track EP with a trio of outstanding new remixes.

Henri Hurtig has been at the vanguard of modern underground dance music for close to two decades with his Cid Inc. production alter-ego. Some 600+ production credits for the likes of microCastle, Lost & Found and his own highly respected, Replug, are testament to an enduring appeal as is a packed tour calendar where the Finnish star continues to tour the world. Now making his Meanwhile debut, the Cid Inc. remix of “Elemental” retains a similar rhythmic poise to the original as a familiar bass pattern blends with a squeaking, bleeping effects layer. A trademark storming beat and seething dancefloor character is in full evidence as a distorted and frenetic breakdown leads to a new melodic character in the second half to brilliant effect. The result is a typically impressive reworking full of dynamism and brio.

A rising star in the progressive firmament since early work for EIN2 in 2018, Tantum has hit considerable heights with his music on Juicebox Music, Mango Alley and Guy J’s Lost & Found. A Meanwhile debut in mid-2023 saw “Secondary / Suan Pan / Narko” place the German star front and centre with a musical triptych of the highest order, as Tantum now returns with a deep and innovative take on “Time to Space”. Replete with rolling groove and deep bassline presence, a more stripped back offering allows the central motif from the original a chance to flourish within a new cadenced structure, while richly textured pads flow effortlessly across the musical stream. Rising and falling in easy patterns, a new arpeggiated pattern makes itself heard alongside a raft of additional production material and counterpoint melodies as the remix heads towards a rousing finale.

Reworking “EXT 135” themselves, Meanwhile head honchos, GMJ & Matter have given the track a sublime “Ambient Reprise”. Stripping away the powerful rhythmic backdrop of the original, the duo have created a sublime interpretation that captures the central melodic elements of the original, allowing them to blossom unencumbered by dancefloor character. The result is a chorus of deliciously crafted keynotes and melodies that blend together in seamless fashion, held together by a deep sub-bass groove. The result is a smooth and pristine slice of electronica magic.

Shining once more through remixes from Cid Inc. and Tantum, GMJ & Matter have given a new lease of life to “EXT 135 / Elemental / Time to Space”.

This past spring, we were delighted to present the debut Silk Music EP by acclaimed Iranian artist Masoud, featuring fellow Silk newcomer Tara Louise on vocals. Their beautiful vocal house collaborations, "My Dreams" and "Goodbye," have now been remixed by two extraordinary label veterans: Vintage & Morelli (Serbia) and meHiLove (Ukraine).

Vintage & Morelli is in the midst of a banner year, highlighted by his recent "My Rose Enchanted Destiny" album release, as well as a pair of releases on the esteemed Anjunabeats imprint. His inspired take reimagines "My Dreams" as a peak-hour progressive house anthem. A stormy and trance-influenced lead chord progression soars above a buoyant bassline, while a mellifluous Balearic guitar motif further enhances the soundscape. Meanwhile, Tara's vocal, the primary lead element, once again captivates the listener: her emotional delivery is only accentuated by Vintage & Morelli's exhilarating instrumentation. For those more inclined toward vocal-less electronica, Vintage & Morelli has contributed a "Dub Mix" as well.

meHiLove, acclaimed Silk veteran and former "Both" Remix Contest winner, centers his interpretation of "Goodbye" on a more traditional progressive house groove. As the track progresses, a variety of gorgeous melodic effects join Tara's memorable vocal. A relatively subdued breakdown showcases these many stunning themes, which are equal parts ethereal and cathartic. meHiLove has also provided a "Dub Mix" to round out the release.

The latest edition of our free download series finds Ezequiel Arias returning for his second appearance. Hailing from Cordoba, the Argentinean artist has grown into one of his country’s most prodigious progressive house talents. Upon making his debut in 2013, Ezequiel became a favourite of both Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren. Subsequent releases on Plattenbank, Replug, Sudbeat and The Soundgarden followed shortly thereafter and cemented the Argentine’s place amongst the progressive house elite. Ezequiel made his debut on our free download series with the well received ‘2AM’. Written in conjunction with fellow countryman and Sudbeat artists Interaxxis the track featured heavily in the sets of progressive house tastemakers Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Guy J, Guy Mantzur and Sahar Z. Now returning for his second appearance Ezequiel unveils his much sought after ‘Private’ remix of Michael A’s ‘Ciklus One’. Originally released on Proton, Ezequiel’s interpretation has been shrouded in mystery after being aired in Hernan’s sets for the better part of a year. Now after much demand the track is finally available as an exclusive free download. We hope you enjoy it.

Exclusive: Pale Blue - Silver Tears

Bringing their messages in an honest manner through, it's New York-duo Pale Blue delivering their contribution to the strange year of 2020. Written during the first quarter of the quarantine Liz Wight and Mike Simonetti teamed up under their nostalgic melodic alias Pale Blue and wrote a song about what moved and inspired them to write Silver Tears, a track from the golden 20s of the century. 

“Every day I thought about death, death caused by the virus, death caused by white supremacy, racism, violence, death by transphobia, homophobia, inequality, and all of it put me in a dark place, where I was desperate for some sort of hope. Mike's dad had just passed away during all of this and it’s devastating to think about all the people losing loved ones who aren’t able to be there during those final moments due to Covid-19. When I was writing this, I was trying to make sense of it all, but I still can’t. I used to take solace in the love I had for my city but all of a sudden, I didn’t feel safe because of people’s disregard for spreading this virus. So, to cope I reflected a lot on the people I love and tried to strengthen those connections… it's all I could manage to do to deal with so much hate but honestly at the end of the day that isn't enough.“ - Liz Wight

Along the original track comes a remix from Simonetti's long time friend and collaborator Monty Luke. The both, Monty Luke and Mike Simonetti, released a record together under their Billions and Billions moniker way back in 2012. Calling Monty one of his favorite producers, it does not surprise that the Black Catalogue label head took on remix duties with pleasure.
