We move in space, from somewhere in the dark we hear music. It makes our body vibrate, down to the smallest particle. Particles meet, particles diverge, they bounce of each other or merge and set energy free. In harmony with the music we reflect the energy conservation law. Everything vibrates. Everything is energy!

In the newest episode of the Kunsthalle Wien Podcast Michael Simku talks to artists Ana de Almeida, Alicja Rogalska & Vanja Smiljanić about their contribution to the group exhibition "Cybernetics of the Poor". They discuss their artistic practice and how they draw on the culture of LARPing (live-action role playing games), from a site-specific and feminist perspective and thus how they aim to change the cybernetically managed conventions and the operating modes of normative gender-specific behavior by proposing another kind of role play.

Kunsthalle Wien Podcast: Constanze Ruhm im Gespräch

In the current Kunsthalle Wien Podcast artist Camila Sposati talks about her project "Phonosophia" – now on view in the Kunsthalle Wien exhibition "Cybernetics of the Poor". Sposati creates musical instruments made from clay, that are music more than sound producers. They call up human organs’ structure and function: guts, liver, larynx, lungs, and others. The instruments evoke and provoke a meeting place where the body of both the musical instrument and whoever activates it meet to establish relationships that classical musical traditions (obsessed with technical virtuosity) seem to have forgotten.
