When you hear APOLONIA for the first time, you think of freedom. Of energy. Of pure joy for life. Born in a small Nordic town with a musical heart, and raised between her Cuban roots, instruments, dance halls, and an ear for everything groovy, her love for music began early on. Alongside her musical training and deep passion for music and art, her DJ journey began in 2019. Just four months later, she became part of Green Berlin, the collective surrounding Marteria, played her first festival as CUBY, and toured across Europe with Marsimoto. Not long after, it evolved into a solo career with a rhythm all her own.

Moving to Berlin marked a creative turning point – her sound became rougher, more global, more personal. CUBY became APOLONIA: an artist with a vision, not just a DJ but a curator. Her sets create atmospheres that defy categorization. A bold, uncompromisingly authentic artist who doesn’t just play music – she builds worlds. Her sets are electrifying, genre-fluid experiences: House, Latin grooves, Afro House, Techno, Baile Funk, and R&B melt into a bouncy sound that frees, uplifts, and invites release.

As the first resident DJ at HÖR Berlin in 2025, tour DJ for Erykah Badu, and with shows for NTS Radio, Oroko Radio, Refuge Worldwide, and Foundation FM – APOLONIA represents movement and representation. International brands like Google Pixel, Adidas, Lululemon, Nike, H&M, and Zalando collaborate with her because she delivers more than sound – she brings a clear aura. Whether at Paris Fashion Week, Soho House, or exclusive events – she gives brands a feeling usually only found in the underground.

At the same time, she remains rooted in the scene: performances at Fusion Festival, Lollapalooza, Heroes, and About You Pangea are just as much a part of her world as sharing stages with artists like Marteria, Marsimoto, Yael, or Layla Boe.

APOLONIA stands for something new. For empowerment. For spaces where queer and creative bodies can show up as they are. For ecstatic energy with integrity. And for a sound that’s not just heard, but felt – deeply, directly, authentically.
