第一次幫電視劇寫片尾曲，很興奮也很緊張，當初在看完落日這部精彩的電視劇之後，心裡有很多的感觸，就在這個時候我接到了監製的邀請譜寫了這首歌，不擅長用文字精準表達的我，這些音符就是我自己個人對這部電視劇所要表達的旋律和情感，很多的不捨、很多的內心話，簡單的音符，勾勒出一些壓抑的情感，不管是柏盛和曉玫的父女之情，三個主角之間的情愫，或是志傑對柏盛、文凱對百川的提攜，真的很喜歡這部電視劇各項環節的安排和精彩的演出。
編曲方面，我一直在掙扎要不要像現在大部分的國語流行抒情歌那樣，用吉他或鋼琴帶出情感，加上弦樂帶動情緒，然後在第二次主歌的時候再加入鼓，繼續堆疊情緒，我一直覺得鼓跟這首歌並不相符，但光是鋼琴可能也不太適合表達這麼複雜多樣的情緒，最後我決定從頭到尾只有管弦樂和鋼琴木吉他，加上大提琴在後面帶出另一條情緒，謝謝 Dan 的吉他和 Krislyn 的合音和大提琴，也謝謝美麗的歌詞，和監製給我這個機會，花了很多時間用心在編寫製作這首歌，希望大家會喜歡。花了很多時間在編寫製作這首歌，希望大家會喜歡。
