Following extensive support in Joris Voorn's DJ sets, it was only a matter of time before Anjunadeep champion Marsh appeared on Joris's Spectrum imprint.

Please welcome 'Little Darling', an immaculate slice of glistening progressive house that twinkles and shines with every bit of emotional weight we need after a year+ of lockdowns. Taking a rainbow of arpeggiated chords in the same way many timeless trance records did back in the day, there's a natural, and very gentle, ebb and flow that's driven by the stately kicks, bass line and cheeky flips into breakbeats and tribal percussion.

After the astounding success of the first release on Reinier Zonneveld's imprint Filth on Acid, the label follows up with a slightly deeper take on club music. We welcome Mees Salomé, who managed to deliver a unique, balanced blend of breathtaking melodies and grooves. Mees Salomé comes from The Netherlands, and manages to deliver extra-ordinary music while only being 21 years old. 

Equivalence EP kicks off with the title track. Equivalence opens with a sturdy kick and dirty hi-hat, anticipating the mesmerizing melody. Combined with the long break and subtle arrangement this track makes for a very heavy hitter on the dancefloor. Next up is Ignorance Is Bliss. Piercing synthlines and morph into rhythmic arpeggiated progressions while continuously driven by a growling bassline. This track really shows of Mees Salomé's talent for balancing out harmony and dissonance. Followed by Reinier Zonneveld's remix for Forest Fire, which turns the original into a heavy no-nonsense peak-time techno banger with fat kicks and big drums, while leaving the powerful synth brass into place leading the way into a big climax. Forest Fire original stands out by the way all the sounds work together, morphing and interchanging in a very organic way. The brass synth makes this track perfect for melodic peak-time affairs. For the conclusion of this EP we're happy to announce Julian Wassermann, who scored many hits on labels like Stil vor Talent & Katermukke with his signature deeper style of tech-house and deep-house. He takes Equivalence into a more hypnotic direction, using an almost talking drum groove. By introducing strong dissonance between the original synthline and his own added pads, tension builds up to new levels which makes the track very effective for after-party brain melting.

Mees Salomé - Ignorance Is Bliss (Original Mix)

Jon Hopkins - Emerald Rush (Solomun Remix, Radio Edit)

For the first single from a 6-track EP from Montreal's Clarian (who is also one half of Footprintz), the Canadian reached well beyond the border to collaborate with Tel Aviv-born, Madrid-based producer Guy Gerber on "Claire." Gerber has been a major player on Israel's electronic scene since 2006, running his own Supplemental Facts label and infusing traces of minimal techno, tech house, downtempo and deep house in his productions, while remaining singular in his approach. Clarian's vocal contributions were at the heart of Gerber's progressive house-leaning Fabric mix from last year, which joined the likes of Ricardo Villalobos and Omar-S of artists that turned in single-artist mixes to the series. "Claire" starts amid a queasy vocal snippet (with Clarian's French whisper lodged in at the midpoint) and threatens to go darker and deeper. But a steady handclap and glimmering melodic line uplifts and casts light across this seven-minute track.

Vivrant's third release of the year follows up on the remix debuts from Hunter/Game and Locked Grove, and gives us a return from Jeremy Olander with melodic retro stomper 'Steps'. 

You don't know how much you miss something until it's no longer there, and never have we missed the inside of a rammed club as much as when we listen to 'Steps'. This uplifting, happy-go-lucky body of work with a distinct 80s retro vibes features Jeremy's trademark thumping energy and suspense that we know and love.

Albeit joyous in essence, the lead melody in 'Steps' still masterfully captures Jeremy's melancholic and omnipresent undertone, and adds a sour note to the otherwise saccharine lead, creating a perfectly balanced concoction for the spiring and summer. Coupled with an elaborate drum-pattern that blesses it with an infectious groove, 'Steps' will keep your ears intrigued and feet moving.

After a short hiatus Hungry Music returns with an array of new releases as well as remixes celebrating the second anniversary of Worakls' groundbreaking 2019 "Orchestra" album. First up Ben Bohmer makes his debut on Hungry Music with an outstanding remix of Worakls' "Red Dressed" composition, which features the mesmerising vocals of Eivor. "Red Dressed" first appeared on the Worakls "Orchestra" album. Ben's interpretation transformed the original composition into an exquisite, upbeat, dancefloor ready track with heavy sub-frequencies and bouncing drums. Added melodic layers add depth, while Eivor's breathtaking vocals are putting the gloss on top. Ben Bohmer premiered his remix during his "Cercle" live set above Cappadocia in Turkey, which has at the time of this writing more than three million views on YouTube. Ben's remix has since been one of the most searched for tracks of that performance. Hungry Music is extremely excited to release it to the world now.
