About Stereo Boyz

Stereo Boyz consist of members Detroit Mixo, Huey Boombox, & Mic Audio. Before becoming super group Stereo Boyz they were a part of the “Rhyme Asylum” (1999 - 2008), a group that claimed a reputation of being one of Detroit's most devastating underground rap groups. Performing since a young age, the three MCs have created an undeniable stage presence. They master the ceremony & have earned the respect of every artist they came across. Completing a three month tour across Europe in late 2011, then returning 2012 & 2013, with shows in Germany, France, Austria, Holland, & Switzerland the Stereo Boyz have been internationally approved by fans abroad.

With Mixo & Huey Boombox coming from Detroit & Mic Audio from Chicago they have created a perfect fusion of the Midwest. Combining strong lyrics with catchy hooks, their sound merges the best of both worlds: clever rhymes & beats that any hip hop fan will nod their head or move their feet to. The mixtape “Sound Check Vol 1” was their first group effort & has earned praises from rap fans worldwide. The Stereo Boyz dropped their EP “Live from the Ghettoblaster” on January 2011 and their highly anticipated debut album “Carz, Clubz & Theatrez” has released in the Fall of 2013. Constantly in the studio working, writing, recording, rehearsing at home & abroad on new ideas, beats, and rhymes the group has several mixtapes from all group members coming out making it impossible to be slept on. Currently finishing up solo albums Mic Audio "Hometown Advantage" which released Fall 2014 have been placed in rotation on MTV Germany. The Stereo Boyz represent the past, present, & future of Detroit Hip-Hop. Their combination of Boom Bap, Motown, and Chicago's House & Electronic sound has created a midwest masterpiece. Now it's time to share that masterpiece with the world.

Niko  born April 5th 1985 is an Albanian/American rapper & goes by the stage name NIKO. While only a baby Niko's family migrated to the US in hopes for a better life. Growing up in Detroit Niko quickly ended up on the wrong side of the tracks, getting into trouble constantly which  lead to an incarceration. In his young teens Niko found himself lost and in trouble, and with no father to guide him he turned to the mic. After a studio session with a close friend, it became evident Niko had a gift. A natural talent and flow that many artists do not posses. He teamed up with the group " Mob Type Thugz" and gained recognition for numerous recoded tracks while being in the group. An unknown split up in the group left Niko solo again which at that time, a local group was recruiting members. Niko wrote the chorus to the YouTube hit " Who You Know Bang" and played a big role in the records success. Even though it was local, bars and clubs were sold out to see the group perform. They even gained some east coast recognition, performing in clubs and venues in New York. A falling out between the group left Niko solo again, this time it's exactly what he wanted. Niko released several tracks and videos as a solo artist, and continues to do so. In 2014 he looks to attack early, and finally focus on himself and his career. Throughout his music you can hear a smooth flow, club hits, even records for the ladies. In other cases though, you hear real life situations, and gritty street records. Many who are close to the artist would say that he's done a complete 360 and turned around his life, Niko thanks music for that. What's seems to separate him from other artists is a record deal. Nowadays every artist wants one and is chasing it, Niko on the other hand isn't. He makes genuine music for his fans and himself, all he ever wanted and wants is to improve Hip Hop. Seven the General – is an award winning emcee/actor/songwriter from Detroit, Michigan with a Bachelor of Science (Music Business) & Inductee into the Detroit Institute of Arts (Hip-Hop archive by Jenny Risher) 

At 17 wrongfully convicted and sentenced to 10-25 years in the MDOC he would spend nearly a decade educating himself and perfecting his craft. “The Back 40” bka the prison yard is where he earned his respect. The title of “The General” was given to the undefeated emcee based on his ability to mobilize massive crowds of followers at times disrupting the security of the facility. Since his release Seven has not allowed his past to be neither crutch nor badge of honor, he is very active in the community as well as the Detroit Music & Film industries. The Detroit emcee first starred in and co-produced the now infamous crime documentary Detroit Murder City Film, which is, now stored in Michigan collegiate library’s as a reference tool for Criminal Justice courses. Seven the General continues to build his acting resume along with his music experience, he has worked and wrote on a wide range of successful projects including R&B Detroit native K’Jon’s #1 Billboard charting album “I Get Around”, Bizarre “Friday Night at St. Andrews”, J Dilla’s “Dillatroit”LP, Multi-Platinum D12’s Return of the Dozen Vol. 2 as well as Esham’s independent film soundtrack “Death of an Indie Label”. Off first glance combined with his history, you’d instantly want to categorize him as a street rapper but Seven The General‘s ability to mold and transcend both sub-genre scenes of rap is nothing short of amazing. As of late Seven the General appears as a character on the Detroit Hip-Hop based video game “Detroit On Fire” (by Shannon Williams)
