We welcome Amentia to our Sol Selectas tribe, with their exotic new EP "Miracle D'Hwange". Three original tracks inspired by Zimbabwe, and built around the traditional mbira instrument, these songs take us on a journey down the beautiful Zambezi River that stretches across this African land. We begin our adventure with "Victoria", easing us into the jungles, soothing our mind with the fresh water from the largest waterfall on the planet. "Antilope" takes it name from the wild animals galloping along the banks of the river, the percussion representing their playful ways, as we navigate down river. Lastly we end with "Miracle D’Hwange" a deep moving song with vocals to purify your soul in Hwange, a special place of tranquility and home to a large variety of animals on Earth.  Canson remixes "Victoria" into a feel good down beat groove, which oozes rays of sunshine while moving your hips. And finally, our dear friend Armen Miran, gives us a deep and dubby version of "Miracle D'Hwange" that shakes the jungle spirits. The Artwork by Helia Jamali brings us into the visual safari to the dreamland of Zimbabwe.

Amentia's Cheyenne is a funky pieces of psychedelic South America influenced deep house, soon out on DJ Sabo's Sol Selectas summer sampler. 

Sol Selectas is a US label headed up by Sabo whose ethos of spiritual wellbeing and cultural diversity runs through the very foundation of the imprints music policy.

Focused towards house music, often with melodic elements and rich percussive textures, the label has a strong sense of community and has featured contributions from the likes of Blond:ish, UNER, Acid Pauli and Nicola Cruz plus many others.

Each of the tracks are a short musical tale that makes up a part of the overall story being told by the LP, and embracing cultural diversity features vocal samples and lyrics from eight different languages.

Some of the tracks are down tempo electronica and others are peak time house music, but each has its own special part of the dance floor.

The artwork is also an important part of Sol Selectas, as its design is carefully curated by Sabo’s fiancé Helia Jamali who captures the sound of each release with her stylish art design.

The result was that I developed a bit of a neurosis. As soon as I hit the air I became extravagant. I could reel it off about Dalmatia from the grand boulevard to Cardinal Mazarin's palace, further, if I chose to. I don't even know where it is on the map, and I don't want to know ever, but at three in the morning with all that lead in your veins and your clothes saturated with sweat and patchouli and the clink of bracelets passing through the wringer and those beer yarns that I was braced for, little things like geography, costume, speech, architecture don't mean a goddamn thing. Only music matters, and the new EP by The Oddness is my best friend to my next trip to dreamland!

Think City, a duo on a spiritual path, takes us into their story of the heart, with the aim of making us feel the Oneness. Their EP Sarangi is inspired by the Nepalese folk instrument of the same name, designed to spread messages.

The title song Sarangi is a soulful, very traditional downtempo piece, in the center a melodic ballad with sounds from the Himalayas. A promising mix of driving playfulness and hearty sounds.

In collaboration, Ben Eager and @robingmusic constructed a perfect intro version of Sarangi, which many a DJ can be happy about. Nevertheless, the remix is straight off, very driving, deep, dreamy, filled with plenty of percussive action and fresh plucked instruments on top.

Enter the Presence is clearly dominated by violins and all kinds of oriental instruments, which create a hypnotic effect. Slow and deep this track flows along.

Quint S Ence has dug a little further in his interpretation and delivered an even deeper version. Evil basses, groundbreaking vocals and wrapped up a little bit more melodic, a very fine number.
