Eclecticism has always been a priority at Art Vibes and we're proud to release ‘Skydiver', the very first album of Max Tenrom. The Toulouse born multi-instrumentalist, producer, and live performer debuts with 6 originals, gathering the whole scope of his influences to create a meaningful electronic tale. Moreover, We are delighted to have amazing remixes from Holed Coin, Mashk and Fractal Architect.

‘Native' unveils its raw beauty progressively. Piano chords set up the scenery, promptly followed by haunting male vocals and roaring bass lines. The atmosphere becomes almost ceremonial at times and one gets caught reminiscing of lost memories, picturing wild places and local rituals.

‘Skydiver' and it's mesmerizing classical guitar! The hopping licks on the guitar strings are melancholic yet hopeful. Soothing for the mind, the piece is also a direct escapade to the sunny villages of Andalucía, incentivizing one to lose himself and dance.

‘The Lake' is a sumptuous piece of Art in which deep basslines collide with synth pads and high pitched vocals. 
A proper way of enjoying this craft would be to drive on large roads surrounded by infinite fields and ocean-blue lakes…

Unique percussive sounds and complex rhythms give a steady ground to ‘Archived', a heartwarming and inspiring piece. Almost orchestral, the production is marked by background strings, choir-like male vocals and distorted synth melodies. Max has achieved a distinct and refined sound design, full of surprises!

‘Substance' opens with mysterious sounds and gentle piano melodies. Tension keeps building up with the standing synth arpeggios. Alleviations are scarce but achieved through atmospheric breaks and occasional jazzy keyboard patterns. While the melodic parts is conveying a certain sorrow, the straightforward beat and throbbing bass are resolutely empowering.

‘Analog Days' share the same vibe as Substance and starts off with an ambient soundscape sprinkled with reversed piano touches. Surprisingly jazzy at times, the track is powerful and hypnotic.

Spanish talent Holed Coin gave ‘Skydiver' a whole new touch. While keeping the original classical guitar sound, he used it and reshaped this piece with groove and elegance. Sparkle this with various syncopated rolling and pitching percussions, a perfect mid-tempo vibe and you get a tune with a sincere charm.

Opening to airy pads and atmospheric noises, Mashk's remix of Archived has a lot of space and has room for introspection. Minimal and dreamy, subtilely ambient, the remix gets one in a hypnotic escapade with eyes wide shut.

Staying true to the original melodies, the enigmatic Fractal Architect from Bristol, has drawn a clubby vision of Analog Days. Lots of textures intertwine during the breaks while the drops are contrasting with a precise and melodic soundscape. What an uplifting and vibrant alternative version!

Sol Selectas is pleased to welcome back Argentinian artist Ulises for his first solo EP, after contributing two amazing songs for our Summer Sol compilations. This EP contains four original songs, and three remixes. In the artists own words - “The concept of the Más Allá EP is an attempt to go beyond the boundaries of the mental experience, trusting our inner voice to guide us into the expansion of our being.” 

“Más Allá” tells the story of that psychedelic inner journey which leads to the dusty way of ego dissolution.  “Pineal” refers to our third eye, which connects our consciousness, with a higher energy source. “Sian” pays homage the magical land of Sian Kaan, famous for its sunsets in the lagoon. “Obelisk”  was inspired by a trip to Rome, where the looted Egyptian obelisks can be found all over the city, working as antennas of sacred energy.
 
For the remixes we welcome back to the label David Mayer from Germany, who crafts a beautiful version of “Sian”, picking up the tempo slightly, and injecting his signature Afro house groove. Mexican Roderic joins the label for the first time, delivering a smooth take on Obelisk, weaving the horns in and out, and building the tension on the final breakdown. And finally, we welcome Russian artists Geju to Sol Selectas, also for the 1st time. They transform “Pinneal” into an epic down tempo journey, which opens the third eye to a higher frequency. 

The artwork by Helia Jamali visualizes the music leading our conscious mind to a clearer recognition of the higher self.

In 2019, @arutani became active for the @keller label for the first time. With the remix for the song “Verbrennungsmotor” by Acud and @beatmoertelz, he made a significant contribution to the spread of the Fusion 2019 hit. Now his own EP is coming out on KELLER, which is extraordinarily deep. Sweet melodies are immediately broken by marshy, deep bass structures. Arutani - My Kind Of Flow (Brigade Remix) [KELLER]

Sol Selectas label boss Sabo returns to the imprint for his second artist album, which features eight original tracks, each made in collaboration with a different artist.

With soaring melodies, enchanting rhythms and mystical atmosphere, the collaborating artists include Dandara, UNER, Namito, Noema, Hot Oasis, Saint Flip, Metrika and SidiRum.

Sabo is a globetrotting DJ who is invited to play various cities and exotic locations around the world. This gives him a chance to meet other likeminded people and documents his experiences by collaborating on music.

Pieced together over a three-year period, this stunning collection of tracks features collaborations with people who have roots in Persia, India, Ancient Greece, Spain, and Jordan.

Meeting to record in studios based in Mexico, Switzerland, Argentina and Berlin, there is a noticeable blend of culture from different roots and their surrounding environment.

Many of the artists who feature on this release alongside Sabo have also released their solo music on Sol Selectas, but this special release is very much a family event hosted by Sabo, and a reunion of old friends who share a spiritual connection.

Starting with the deep atmosphere and soothing vocals of “Red Lotus’” down tempo groove, the album maintains a steady trajectory as it ramps up the energy with “Bakhu”, “Celebration Santoor” and “Duende”. “Min Q” drops the tempo again with its sombre atmosphere and trippy vocals before the chugging rhythms of “Daikato”. Rounding off the release with some cosmic synth work and tribal percussion, “Imagine” is the penultimate track before “Fainá” closes out the album with its mystic vibes.

An epic journey of sound, this well-travelled album is an audio passport that takes the listener on a trip of imagination that translates into an epic dance floor experience, as although perfectly suited to headphone listening, none of the tracks would sound out of place in a club environment.
