ELVI - music producer and DJ (Elvi Soulsystems) from Riga, he‘s part of the ELVI/DUNIAN project and curator the House Purgatorio audiovisual events series at club ONE ONE, he is also part of the team of KLIK KLAK events. The artist has created music for films and worked with visual artists and choreographers. ELVI also deejays in various places in Riga and beyond – he has also performed at our beloved Opium. In the future ELVI hopes for a closer cooperation between electronic music scenes of the Baltic countries. ELVI has recorded a mix of his recent favourites, a few works by friends and an overall eclectic selection of a darker shade.

@elvisoulsystems (@elvislashdunian, @oneoneriga) - ELVI is an electronic performer and music producer from Riga, half of the lately somewhat silent ELVI/DUNIAN, collaborating within projects of many disciplines – film, installation, dance, video. As a disc jockey ELVI performs as Elvi Soulsystems as well as curates events – House Purgatorio which has welcomed the likes of Patris and Borusiade performing live with the unworldly visuals of DEE as the stage design of the happening, CTyK – a “selectors” series with a political and philosophical angle screening Guy Debord films while the most diverse music is banging on the dancefloor – Zaltan of Antinote, Dane of Common Edit, DJ Aleksi of SMOOD being among the guests and Paradiso – a series solely focused on the craft of the DJ which launched in May featuring Manfredas – at club ONE ONE in Riga. He also part of the team creating the event series KLIK KLAK which take the darker shades of electronic dance music to Riga's club Golden as well as the team's Summer residence – the newly opened Tu Jau Zini Kur.

The autumn is coming, clubbing season is starting, everyone is preparing to come back to their beloved basements/venues/locations.

During this transition period from the festival season, me and my beloved partner in crime Elena Ryškutė decided that is time to start a new season of Flamingo Lounge Stories. For the first mix, I got reached out by our neighbour from Latvia Elviss Zants. It was the first time for me hearing his selection, and I was wonderfully surprised by his music. I wanted to know him better and understand what shaped his music taste throughout the years. 

After an inspiring conversation, I understood that Riga's scene is improving slowly and it's getting its own identity which is interesting to observe because now as said by very own Elviss words it is in "child-like state" and their building the scene from the ground zero. At the moment there is only one properly functioning venue for electronic events, which makes only harder for younger talents to get exposed for a broader audience.

Coming back to Elviss, he is one of the key figures from Riga's underground and has been composing music in various shapes - edits and versions of existing things and music made by other artists, his own weird music and making soundtracks for movies or contemporary dance performances. Truly an inspiring person. 

Enjoy this carefully selected mix, with a trippy and melodic accent.

The end of another year was quickly approaching, signalled by cold, crisp nights and oversized winter coats and wooly hats. The park was covered in autumnal shades of sienna and orange that crunched underfoot as crowds of people made their way through the gates huddled together for warmth. The show was about to start. Gasps and cheers came from the crowd as huge fireworks exploded across the sky, painting the night with sparkling colours of pink, blue and green. It was a beautiful site to behold, a true spectacle.  

Zodiac Childs is gearing up to release his second EP on his own Zodiac Wax imprint, inspired by The UK's breakbeat and hardcore legacy. The three tracker is filled with euphoric melodies, crisp percussion, dusty breaks and resounding subs; mesmerising from start to finish...

Solstice started as a booking agency, but is now changing to event organisation. The goal of the company is to assure the best quality production that has been perfectioned over 5 years of global experience. By having experience from artists perspective playing in a club and as organisers - hosting artists, Solstice understands how to fulfil wishes of the artist and the listener and how to guarantee the best performance.

Founded by Mantas Pivoriūnas & Elena Ryškutė whose goal is to keep close family feeling with the artists and the party attendants, create a safe and special environment where people can feel safe and confident to express themselves and share the passion for electronic music.
